The breakfast and evening meals were really nice, cooked and well presented, the dining areas are laid out well and very tidy and clean, the proprietor Gill is like a whirlwind looking after the guests and making sure they have everything they need, and is a naturally happy smiley person, all the staff are very professional, friendly, and polite, everybody was more than willing to give us information regarding the surrounding area to visit, the whole Inn has a really nice warm friendly atmosphere which made our stay there so much more enjoyable.
we would recommend anybody to stay there who want a relaxed friendly place to stay
there wasnt anything bad, unfortunately our room was at the front nearest the main road and there was a some kind of manhole cover on the main road that really banged when the cars and lorries went over it ( nothing to do with the Inn } which made sleeping quite hard when the traffic picked up early in the mornings

The proprietor Wayne was very welcoming and always on hand to help in anyway. He ran the Oakhill like it was his own home.
The staff were outstanding, very knowledgeable and courteous.

Lovely bathroom & bedroom. Dog-friendly with no extra charges.
Staff were somewhat offhand at check-in (we were obviously exhausted but no-one asked to carry luggage up) & at breakfast (breakfast put down & a hasty retreat made). Despite being dog-friendly, there was no bin in the garden & we we were instructed to take it up the road to the car park & put it in the bin there.
The bed was uncomfortable & the pillows too soft to be of any support.
Breakfast - no fried bread, one slice of toast under a mangled & dried-out fried egg. No coffee refills.
Check-in after 5pm & check out by 10am - poor. Breakfast 7-9.
The road was very noisy - late-night car horns & traffic started at 4.30a.m. Even with the window closed, it was noisy & woke us up.
