Wonderful staff, great food, clean and well-appointed room with a great shower and very comfy bed.
Very different from when I last stayed there 20years ago when it was just a country pub with a few basic rooms. Not sure when it was redeveloped but they've done an excellent job and I'd definitely stay again in the future.

When I first got in my room there was a slight smell of smoking. In the waste paper bin there were a couple of empty vaping capsules

We booked a four poster room which was really spacious with a comfortable King sized bed. Bathroom had a spa bath seperate and rainshower, Hotel was clean and staff were excellent.
We had Breakfast both mornings and it was perfect, Good selection of continental with hot food cooked to order from a varied menu selection hot and tasty with quallity ingredients.
We also dined in evening and again food and staff excellent. Bar and food prices were about average for a hotel.
Can find fault with anything if pushed, couple tiles craked on bathroom floor, am sure these will soon be fixed. Room was a little hot but fans were provided in room so no issue.
Overall a really good hotel that other places could learna lot from.

Convenient for what we needed - spacious room, good breakfast. Staff were lovely and very welcoming of our dog.
Felt dated and not very clean. Even found some false eyelashes in one of the glasses in our room.
