Fantastic location, terrible nights sleep

We had a very loud generator behind our room. This was running until 22.00 then in the morning it was switched on at 6!!!

Pleasant but hotel in general needs to try harder

Rooms clean and modern. Very quiet at night.

A bit scruffy in hallways. Carpets need a shampoo and walls painting. Brightening up, paintings etc. just lacking a bit of colour and style. Foreign receptionists need some training in customer service. Need to be told to smile at customers. They look miserable and a little too casually dressed.

Hard to find a fault, would definitely stay again

There's very little I could fault the hotel for, it was almost perfect. Value for money, dog friendly, central location, great staff & clean.

The only gripe, and it's a small one is the hotel need an additional coffee machine at breakfast, it was so busy and you would queue for some time for it to run out of coffee/breakdown.

Disappointing

Location, Bed and Bathroom

Room not to standard expected for price. Described as a room with a view whilst two of the blinds on the three windows don't work so no view. Shower glass far to short so having to use towels to mop up water on floor and no house keeping so had ask for more towels. Disappointed.

This was amazing we have booked to stay again next month

Loved the location, and the room was amazing hoping we’re in the same room when we visit again in April 😂🤞🏼

The only thing I would say is that the room isn’t very sound proof and we could hear a lot of the building work going on while’s trying to sleep early morning, sometimes parking can also be abit of a struggle when party’s are going on

Great location. Breakfast terrible 🤨

The property was in a great location 😊

Breakfast was terrible.. Only one coffee machine for everyone.The buffet breakfast wasn’t big enough for all the guests. Had to keep waiting for food to come out. At one stage there were several guests waiting for food. Not to mention the queue at the coffee machine 🤪

enjoyable stay, bitter taste left from the money being takan

The £50 deposit taken when booking in , which give the hotel the facility to take £444.34 after I left the hotel for no reason ,which I'm still waiting for A refund 1 week later.

Not worth the money

I never leave a review but felt needed to the photos advertise this as a modern close to centre hotel and it most definitely feels like that when you walk through the main door … until u go through the door to the corridors for rooms it resembles a nursing home the smell in our corridor was absolutely disgusting like sewers

When entering the door to the rooms it’s very run down plaster hanging off walls and smells like a nursing home the room was tiny and way to hot the window didn’t stay up breakfast the service was absolutely shocking 10 min to be seated one member of staff who spent most of his time on his phone no cups left for a brew and the French toast was that burnt you wouldn’t even give it your dog to get to the venue you have to go up a huge hill would not recommend this for the elderly and definitely not worth the money we paid won’t be returning

Nice room but not worth the money and don’t eat there

The bedroom was clean and a good size

Breakfast was horrendous and extremely poor quality. We went out for breakfast on our second day as the hotel food was so bad. The staff were not friendly and they took £50 deposit which will take 7 days to return to my bank

Rooms were lovely and spacious, modern and clean. Hotel was lovely and views spectacular

Breakfast didn't cater well for vegetarian / vegans. Hotel charged us twice and havibg to wait 5 working days for money back

Lovely short break for our anniversary and my wife’s birthday

Lovely refurbishment, stayed a few years ago and was terrible, saw it had been refurbished and decided to give it another chance, really glad we did

The location

There was no Guinness on draught or cans and no alternative, the room was very small, the breakfast was not being topped up appropriately. Some mention should be clearly made about how steep tge road is up to the hotel.

The view and decor.

Ciggarette butts . They have no ash tray bins. So obviously guests are throwing stubs every where. So a designated bin would be good. I do not like the £50 holding fee in case you use room service. It had gone from my bank when booking in so technically its not a holding fee. Also i would have expected the car parking to be free to guests as its not a public car park and not in an area open to abuse. The bottle of Procceco my husband ordered for our room on arriving to celebrate our ruby wedding was put in a different room. But it came with a congratulations Ro Hotel card. When in fact it was from my husband. It was £39. A beautiful thought from my husband. When i went to hand in the key card i was asked to pay for the prosseco. I asked for it to be detucted from the £50 holding fee which had already left my bank 48 hours earlier. I am waiting for the £11 refund. Because of this i proberbly will not return.

Room size booked as Kingsize but was no more than small double condensation running down wall with television on it

A pleasing surprise up the hill in Bowness - somewhere we should like to return to.

A beautiful setting with lovely outdoor seating, an excellent dinner and breakfast and an extremely comfortable bed.

A comfortable chair in the bedroom would have been good - there was one basic chair at the dressing table - you had to lie on the bed to watch television.

The location was amazing I loved how they spoilt dogs with beds bowls and treats in room The room was lovely and clean with comfortable bed Loved how could have breakfast on terrace

The lights flickered in corridor really bad near our room Breakfast they ran out of plates bowls food and could not find staff to refill so breakfast was bit disorganised.

Exceptional

Amazing hotel. The best we have ever stayed in in Bowness and we have been to alot! The terrace is beautiful with unreal views. The staff are great, in particular Jake was a lovely guy. Rooms brill, the beds are so comfy! Also air con as an added bonus. Decor lovely and excellent location. Loved it and already booked our next stay there.

we booked a balcony room with great view of Windermere. good size room - great balcony.

breakfast was poor. should have been great but ran out of hot food on both mornings we were there and both days not filled up during the time we were having breakfast. no sausage, bacon, scrambled egg etc etc. such a shame.

we enjoyed our stay, but not sure if we’d rush back! there was no parking due to works being carried out, yet nothing up

the location was ideal….and mega comfortable bed 😃
