I was recommended the hotel by a friend who had stayed here. Best recommendation I have ever had regarding a UK hotel. It hit the spot and ticked all the boxes. Staff couldn’t do enough for me and my family.
It’s not a complaint, but I didn’t notice any shower gel in the bathroom. Luckily I brought some with me. Also, no shaver socket which I needed to charge my electric toothbrush.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. The communal areas were great with a lovely bar to relax in and a lovely outdoor area for nicer weather. The dinner menu had a good selection and the food was delicious. We were travelling with a dog so stayed in the annex which was useful to access outside areas easily.

Location was great. It was very dog friendly. The guys running it are friendly and hospitable.
Loud music on arrival lasted all afternoon. Room was tired and bathroom needs upgrade. Windows were dirty.
Breakfast was ok not much choice. The hotel decor is strange for a country house hotel.
