Great Room for us, I think i booked 2 rooms, one with a river view and one without....not sure. When we checked in, I wanted our guests to have the river view room. I was told the rooms were identical. Our room 41 had a lovely river view i was happy with that. Our swiss guests were in 51, and i think they did not get the river view? so i really wanted them to get that room 41. I would have been happy with the other one (51). However the thing was we were told by the receptionist that they were identical. Not a big issue, we had a lovely stay.
The view, the staff, the table hostess at dinner, the Maitre D Brooke. The Snug. The terrace in the sun for coffee. The rooms. The location. Difficult to fault.

We liked our room for the second night. It was larger, quiet and had a view of the river.
We also ate in the Coppa Club restaurant. The food was good and a little different.
For the first night, we were in room 50 which is located above a noisy ventilation fan under an external staircase under the window. The noise kept us awake, my wife was still awake at 2:30am because of the noise. When this issue was raised with reception, we were moved to a room at the other end of the building which was much quieter, larger and with a river view.

Location was great, very picturesque next to the river. Room was very nice with a huge bed and good facilities.
The complimentary water in the room tasted stagnant, and the radiator in the bathroom wouldn't turn on to dry the towels. There was a basket of goodies on arrival and the fridge in the room was full of drinks and snacks, but everything was ridiculously over priced, £2 for a Mars Bar, and £8 for a bottle of beer!
