Nice room, a little bare decor though. Nice pub and pub type meal, but I was expecting a bit more luxury at the price. I suppose it's a high price town being on the river etc,

Literally on The Ridgeway walk, so when i came in from the pouring rain they were used to it and ready. There was a live band on the night I was there, which was great - and they finished at pub closing so i still got solid sleep. The building is old and the room obvs came with some maintenance burden - but everything worked. And when you've jsut walked 20 miles on The Ridgeway in the wet, a hot shower, how towel rail to dry kit, and a comfy bed are all very very welcome :)

Location suited us and had stayed at The Miller many years ago. It is an interesting building, quite quirky. Staff were attentive and friendly and had told us that there was an event (wedding party) in the hotel so the restaurant was not available.
It was scruffy - clean but in need of refurbishment. En suite bathroom facilities were poor with toilets and showers located in the bedroom area. Rooms varied hugely - our party had booked three rooms, all different, but bathroom facilities in all three were dated and poorly accessed. There were bare painted floorboards in every room and very noisy plumbing which meant noise travelled - up from the bar and between rooms when toilets were flushed.
