Friendly staff and great location for exploring Oslo

Friendly staff; excellent breakfast selection; great location next to Food Hall as well as bus lines; easy walk to heart of Grunerlokka

Enkelt og fint hotel for ett kort opphold

Super bra lokasjon, god størrelse på badet og komfortable senger. Hyggelig personale.

Jeg synes rommet var litt mørkt og trist. Vi hadde vindu mot hovedveien så alt ble veldig grått og var skuffet over at det ikke var minikjøleskap på rommet.

Lovely hotel...had to take a taxi to get to/from Oslo Central train station.

Great experience. Would stay again.

Friendly and helpful staff. The room was great, clean and spacious. Breakfast was class, with vegan and gf choices. The location is excellent, bus and tram stops are nearby.

The beds could be more comfortable, but we slept okay.

Overall, good - hotel was centrally located and an easy commute to my business location.

Breakfast assortment and location of the hotel were excellent - a close walk to the food hall and to the downtown core, close to plenty of shops and restaurants.

I was quite surprised at how small the room was - I travelled for business and there was space for maybe 4 hangers behind an ironing board. I had to try to hang my clothes on furniture around the room so they wouldn't become wrinkled from hanging on the hooks or putting multiple pieces of clothing on the same hanger. The safe in my room also wasn't working, which meant I had to take my valuables with me everywhere (not very convenient!). The 'gym' is also a bit sad. Would suggest putting mirrors on the wall space so you can at least see yourself and watch your form while doing exercises, it doesn't make much sense to have them beside the treadmill only. Who looks at themselves sidewise while running? Would also suggest adding a few more attachments for the weight machine, as you can only use one arm at a time with one handle...

overpriced, not value for money we paid

was asking for double room, but got twin room with uncomfy facilities for disabled. overcrouded breakfast. someones panties left on top of the wardrobe. Annoying creak of metal constructions inside the apartment during morning hours, did not catch the reason but something wrong with overall building construction. see the photo of lamp i attach - bad interior ideas…

Very good

Breakfast, location and rooms were great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good value for money.

Didnt like that we could not adjust room temperature with in room thermostat. Also didnt like that window would not stay open and room was very warm.

Good hotel at a decent price, but be weary of your rooms positioning in the building.

clean and organized, great location by the Food Hall.

Booked a room marked specifically as having a “view”. first room was on the busy road, after requesting a change of room, I was put overlooking a back alleyway common area.

Very good breakfast. The location is very good, in a hip area with a lot of bars and restaurants just around the corner.

The room was very small, no space to open a suitcase. The air in the room was incredibly dry even when we tried to reduce the heating.

Comfortable and nice

Hotel is a good 20 minutes away from the main centre and is located on a bit of a hill so do bear that in mind, we're avid walkers so it didn't put us off. Beds and room we had was very comfortable, breakfast had a good variety. Overall would recommend.

Staying here made a very stressful trip so much better. It was a highlight.

It has the most fabulous breakfast buffet I’ve ever had. Hotel beds are usually very uncomfortable for me, but their beds were amazing. It was close to bus lines and had free bike rentals, so getting around was so simple. They are located right on a lovely food court and shopping area and are only a mile walk or short bus ride from downtown and a lot of other attractions. I came to Oslo because my mom broke her hip while she was vacationing here and had to have a hip replacement and I needed to get her home. The staff were so accommodating and helped me with everything I needed yo make her comfortable when she was released from the hospital. They even changed me to a handicap room the day she was coming so she would have all the facilities she needed.

The heating and air conditioning didn’t let me change it in the second room, but I also didn’t bother the staff with that, so that’s not on the hotel. There wasn’t a kettle or coffee/tea maker in the room and that would have come in really handy. Other than that, it was great.

wonderful and we will defiantly recommend this hotel to others

the stuff was lovely and extremely helpful. the room was very clean. the location is amazing.

there was no laundry service, unlike what was written in the order info.

Great breakfast and location

Fantastic breakfast and great food hall nearby

The open air concert venue is next to the hotel in summer so the bass reverberated through the glass. They fortunately ended at 10:30-11pm but would have been nice to have been warned.

Everything is perfect! The room is spacious with working desk and iron. The breakfast is exceptional! They even serve avocado with green, coconut yogurt and fresh fish

We had two single beds instead of double one

Many Pluses but One Strong Minus

After staying in a clean, pretty more upscale area of Oslo, the more “hip” area of the Scandic Vulcan was interesting.

Room comfort is tantamount. The room was extremely warm and stuffy- the Scandic Vulcan rooms do not have windows that can open nor does it have air conditioning.
