The location was amazing - great views from the terrace and restaurant. Comfy and vlean room. Lovely welcoming staff - couldn't do too much to make it a memorable stay. Very good choice at breakfast, though 9.30 finish was a bit early some mornings. It was great that we got a picnic bag the morning we left for the early ferry. That was appreciated. Good seafood choice on the restaurant menu, though by the end of 6 nights we were repeating earlier orders. Maybe better for a short break? Parking outside available, and buses to the airport and big city just across the road. Would definitely go again.
Stairs - not so easy getting bags to the room. Not much in walking distance nearby - a Cafe opposite Fort Grey and a Morrisons Local a bit further up the road. If you're driving, take provisions with you. All the rest was great.

The hotel had a lovely location by the sea and a delightful lounge. The staff were very friendly and accommodating..
Our room, while having a balcony, overlooked a rooftop and had an obstructed view of the sea. The bed was rather lumpy and not the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in, but adequate for one night. The bath towels were rather old and somewhat threadbare.

Great location right by the sea. Spacious, clean room with lovely view of the sea. Very friendly, accommodating staff. Lovely, quiet and comfortable bar.

A very well presented and good breakfast was served.
The location is exceptional.
The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent
Small details in the bedrooms would have made a positive difference; the provision of a long wall hung mirror, a shelf to place toiletries on in the bathroom and bigger than postage stamp towels. A small fridge would have been a bonus. It would not take very much for the hotel to upgrade it's star rating and offer a little more comfort.
