Friendly, it felt a little run down but I wasn’t given an upgraded room.

I really liked the room, it was spacious, bright and stylish (as i wanted! the room matches the photos). Overall the hotel is cute and nice. I liked the pool and inner terrace areas too. The location was okay (in plan, maybe just the street was a bit uncomfortable to walk in the evening, but you can access to the hotel from 2 streets. so second access felt very safe). People who work there are very friendly and nice. I liked them a lot and many thanks to them!

Quiet and clean room. Decent breakfast. Close to public transport.
Le Berger was once an Art Deco-gem, but now it has been renovated, and most of the old charm is lost. To their credit they have retained some of the old Art Deco-items; lamps, doors and other details. But some other parts are completely new and not the the old style (wallpaper, furniture), so the overall feeling of staying in a vintage place is now gone. The hotel is still OK, but the magic is gone. A bit sad.
