Comfortable rooms and warm welcome from staff and the hotel is in a great location for catching ferries and for the other amenities in the small town of Mallaig. Our room had a good view over the town to the sea.
For such a good hotel (and the price) we might have expected some herbal teas and a few more biscuits in the room with the tea and coffee making facilities. The rooms were very small but very clean and comfortable enough for a short stay.

The accommodation was clean, tidy, and in a great location, and the food and service was great.
The atmosphere in the attached pub felt heavily dominated by a few local regulars who took over the pool table and turned the music up far too loud. Better management of the noise levels—perhaps keeping the loudest music contained just to the pool area—would make the pub much more welcoming and help retain all the extra customers the great food and service deserves.
