Distinguished old building (the oldest hotel on Mull) in a quiet location in Dervaig. Welcoming owner and staff. Clean comfortable room. Cosy lounge area with art-deco style furnishing. Beautiful area.
No TV and rather flaky wifi. The lack of TV could be construed as an 'off the grid' feature, but not for me. Walls in our room (5) rather thin - could almost join in with the conversation next door (then maybe no TVs is a good idea). Of course, an old building in a remote location will always present challenges.

The thing that really stood out to us was the beautiful decor and the great attention to detail throughout the property. Everything felt very thoughtfully put together, giving it a lot of character and charm, and the excellent food on offer was another real highlight.

We completely loved our stay at The Bellachroy! Matt and Tom were incredibly friendly hosts who genuinely went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome from the moment we arrived.
Our room was terrific—spacious, spotless, and thoughtful. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, which was a massive plus for my husband’s back. Another highlight was the bathroom, which was huge and looked newly renovated. Right outside our room, there was a beautiful plum tree, and we loved learning that they actually use its harvest to make their delicious homemade desserts!
Having the restaurant and pub downstairs was incredibly convenient after a long day of exploring, and the food was absolutely delicious. To top it all off, you simply cannot beat the location. It is perfectly situated near the beach and many local sites, while still being just a short drive from Tobermory. We couldn't recommend this place more highly and can't wait to return!

The attention to detail set this hotel apart from other country hotels I've stayed in. Hosts/Staff were friendly and welcoming. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The bed was comfortable with high quality linen.
A small tweak I would suggest is more spaces and/or hooks in the bathroom to place toiletries and hang clothes/towels etc.
