Very poor and disappointing

There was no staff at anytime we were in the hotel apart from the first person in our group who had to ring a number for entry and the keys which were given to him and he had to give the keys out .The room i was in had no bathroom light the cold tap ran all the time ,a electric socket was taped up . The breakfast was advertised as a full English but all it was a toaster and a large bowl of boiled eggs . Even when we were leaving there was no staff at all . I had personally been in this hotel numerous times but now never again . Please stay away from this terrible hotel

Crap not what I paid at all

Location was good room clean

Want some money back first no bar and no cooked breakfast this is what I paid for also no hot water had to tell the owner so he switched it back on again took over 2 hours to get warm

like stopping at faulty towers so dissapointyed

everything about our stay at balin helmshore was a disaster didn't like anything

breakfast was not a full english as advertised on site, rooms were no were like they was advertised on site, mucky, broken locks, mangerment so unpolite would not recomeend at all

Faulty towers wouldn't have a look in owners do not care rude people the place is stuck in the 50s has never seen a refit very old and run down , dirty smell is sickening throughout the hotel, fire hazard at the very poor toast and cereal breakfast table to much appliances connected to the one plug melted the extension lead, water coming thought the roof waterfall actually from someone taking a shower above,room was only serviced once on a 4 day stay and I mean only left towels nuthin else done, no cooked breakfast complained and got one on the second last day that was it was advertised as b+b booking.com you need to remove this dump it's not a hotel it's a serious risk to health and safety to your customers.

worst experience of my life

absolutely nothing. not one thing in the hotel would bring me back for another stay

no hot water, no breakfast as stated on booking, was dirty, no staff, no alcohol, lemonade at bar was out of date, dirty smell, bins in living areas were not emptied all weekend, no fresh towels. rooms were not like the picture on website. was small and tight not fit for 2 adults sharing…. the whole hotel need ms a good clean and an upgrade. for the money spent on bookings it did not live up to its standards

I would not rate this hotel any more than a 1, i would actually suggest -1 if i could. it was the worst run accommodatio

Absolutely nothing

Everything - dirty, no brekfast, no hot water, no staff, no alcohol in the bar. cans of lemonade were out of date. Attitude from the female manager was TERRIBLE. no fresh towels. AVOID

Hotel was dirty,..it smelled.. no staff .. no hot water for showers .. bed clothes were dirty ... dirty bed sheets .. bathrooms were awful .. couldn't see out bedroom windows with dirt .. no breakfast.. out off date juice .. made toast and plug went on fire ... Water coming through the ceiling at breakfast tables ... Games room disgusting.. no clean towels bed clothes didn't get changed once .

Comfy for a night's sleep, clean, but dated won't stay there again

Beds were comfy Clean accomadation

Staff were not particularly helpful, paying £10 to park our car at the parking spaces at the back of the B&B only had 3 spaces at the back of the building not a carpark. Stated breakfast included when booked not the case . Has a bar a pool room but only allowed to use at weekend. Decor very dated , holes in the ceiling , door to room was a struggle to lock, as lock was loose

Never be back.

Location was central but never got breakfast they didn't open dining room.

Noone on reception. No breakfast. Lift not working. No hot water. Toilet didn't flush. Paid for bed and breakfast only got uncomfortable bed. Would not recommend or stay again.

Horible

No one there on check in we parked the car over the road and got a parking ticket .they advertise the bar opens at 7 until 11 .it was closed all night hence we paid for breakfast but didn't have it couldn't wait to get out

Balin Helmshore

Loved the lady who cleaned and cooked in there, she was very helpful and friendly. If it wasn't for her, helping us get another room in this hotel during our stay, we'd never come back.

Tight spaces made it difficult to manoeuvre my pram, which hurt my back, then the initial room had no space for the pram to go Needs decorating, the rooms are not value for the money that's charged.

it was a truly dreadful place, it was freezing cold. The guy on the front desk was very unfriendly.

Nothing. I was a dreadful place. i initially booked because it had car parking. there was no mention of a £10 parking charge.

Everything was dreadful other than the breakfast. i wouldn't stay there again in a million years.

Avoid!!!

Nothing

No staff on hand to report anything to. Smelt of mould. Rooms and bathrooms dirty. Milk in room was curdled it had obviously been there that long. Didn't stay long enough to eat breakfast 🤮

it was pouring with water though the ceiling. they expected me to still stay there with no water and no electricity. still waiting on refund

Shocking

Central location

Cleaning found big hair clip in bed thought it was a spring, breakfast was poor looked like it had been saved from day before. Been to this hotel 6 times with previous owners and couldn’t fault it then won’t be going back.

Dissapointed

Host was very nice and friendly when we saw her

Having to go to cafe.3 mornings for breakfast was told to go by host on day of leaving went cafe as told they refused to serve us in fact we waited outside to be served thats when they shut door on us... We did manage to phone hotel and complain She phoned us back later to say cafe had appologised We are diabetic so had to go elsewhere to buy breakfast .. very unhappy room was only cleaned once during stay. We had to buy our own tea/coffee for room We had 2 bins for waste but only emptied once so hubby had to empty them every day

Great budget option

Friendly staff who made special arrangements for my late arrival. Comfortable room after a long day. Shower was nice.

Nothing I didn't like. Better than cheap and cheerful.
