The location was perfect for arriving in town the night before a river cruise. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was basic but good.
The room was dated and too warm - no opportunity for a window breeze because that would have left the curtains open, making it too noisy and bright. A fan would have helped. I was above the kitchen and the dishes and talking went late into the night. The bed was only ok

Very nice staff. Breakfast was good and staff very friendly.
Though the location was nice, right by the river and close to the town "center", it also could get noisy with river boats and partying going on into the night.
Also, not air conditioned, but hotel provided a fan which helped with the air flow and actually outside noise.

This hotel is fine. It's basic enough, could do with a refresh to haul itself out of the 1970s, but it's clean and the staff were friendly and helpful, so no complaints there.
The issue is the lack of AC on a very warm evening, so the room was stifling. Opening the double-glazed window offered some relief, but then we had to put up with a lot of noise in the alley below, plus the stink of smoke as that - presumably - is where staff go to have a cigarette. So we didn't get much sleep. Not the end of the world, but getting a good night's sleep is rather the point of staying at a hotel. Wouldn't be an issue on a cooler night.
