The location was excellent. We had a corner terrace in our room which had a beautiful view. Breakfast was plentiful. Staff were friendly.
It looks a little bit tired in places, could do with soft close doors too.

The location was absolutely fantastic – perfect for exploring Assisi’s historic centre, while still feeling peaceful and relaxing. Parking was also extremely convenient: the hotel provides its own parking, and there is also a large public car park right next door for a fee, so arriving by car is very easy.
The breakfast was excellent and was kindly adapted to my dietary requirements, which I really appreciated. My room was very clean, and even though I had booked a single room, it felt surprisingly spacious and comfortable. The shower had great water pressure as well. Overall, a lovely stay, and the location in relation to the old town really couldn’t have been better.
The main downside of my single room was that the window faced the main road leading up to the historic centre. As Assisi is on a steep hill, cars and motorcycles can be quite loud when driving uphill. I always travel with earplugs, so this did not disturb my sleep at all, but light sleepers should definitely bring earplugs.
Most of the staff I met were very kind and welcoming, particularly the young woman who received me in the evening and the woman who served my breakfast. Unfortunately, my experience with another member of staff was very different. At checkout, I was reprimanded for paying the city tax by card rather than cash. I have travelled extensively in Italy and have routinely been able to pay city tax by card, so I found the way this was communicated unnecessarily unpleasant.
I also found it surprising that I was charged separately for an additional double espresso at breakfast. More importantly, while I was still having breakfast at around 9:55, I was approached and reminded that checkout was at 10:30. I was already fully aware of the checkout time and had every intention of respecting it. Being reminded 35 minutes before checkout made me feel unnecessarily rushed. Had I still not checked out at 10:30, a reminder would of course have been completely understandable.
These interactions were unfortunate because otherwise I had a very good stay and found the hotel, its location and breakfast excellent.
