The director Antonello is exceptionally helpful and very welcoming. Breakfast is fairly simple by British cuisine standards, but this is more than compensated for by a wide selection of cereals, yoghurts, and an appealing variety of homemade flans and cakes.
The staff are exceptionally courteous, adding a warm and welcoming touch to the stay. The rooms are very comfortable, ours, in particular, had a balcony overlooking the beautiful Assisi Valley.
One of the key advantages of the location is its proximity to Assisi. The town is easily reachable on foot, with about a 20-minute walk to Porta Nuova, near the Basilica of Saint Clare.
The use of plastic cups at breakfast is a minor detail, yet it feels somewhat out of place, especially given Assisi’s strong association with care for nature, inspired by Saint Francis of Assisi. Reducing such waste would better reflect the town’s ethos of environmental stewardship.

Lovely views across the valley. Upgraded room was good.
My initial room is a little small and gloomy, so I paid to upgrade to one of the larger rooms which was a significant improvement, although suffered from road noise as these are located very close to the road. The breakfast, as is often the case in Italy, was heavy on the sweet options, but light on more traditional mainstay products. The orange juice was nasty . No option to buy only a glass of wine at dinner. Dinner itself was OK but not of the highest quality.

Very friendly, family run hotel. All the staff were very accommodating and friendly. Great pool and facilities. Very good local bus service into Assisi. Would definately stay again and wholeheartedly recommend.
