This is a no frills type of back packers hotel which gives exactly what you need. We found it to be clean, welcoming and comfortable. Room was immaculate with beautiful views. Water, tea coffee and comp shortbread were provided. The food was lovely, staff delightful and a shout out to Fiona from the gift shop next door. We liked that we could go down for dinner in our jeans etc and not feel under dressed. We had visited Ben Ann, Aberfoyle and Callander so this was the perfect stop before heading to Pitlochry.
We bought a can of Coke and a J20 when checking out for the journey and this cost us £8 which we felt was extreme. The room cost us £184 which we found expensive as well. Can’t fault the cleanliness, staff, food or comfort though.

Thin bedroom walls so easily hear conversations in other rooms.
Food potion sides slightly on the small side.
Unexpected charge for dog! Not clear on booking there was a charge for our dog.
