Stunning accommodation in historical George Town location.

Fabulous location, Beautiful pool area, extra large stunningly decorated rooms, the experience of an historical building with modern comforts.

Unable to flush toilet paper is challenging when you’re used to western toilets but toilet well appointed to use bidet or paper.

Very good

I was stunned by how large the room was... and that swimming pool. Also, the hotel is so near everything: from the coolest cafes, the best kopitiams and temples, etc.

That I could not stay longer hahahaha.

Exceptional

The room was surprisingly large and the bed was very comfortable. The room's decor had a local touch, especially with the provision of a traditional dress for photo-taking. We spent a good amount of time posing and taking portraits in the room, which was quite fun. Despite being located in the city center, the hotel was very quiet, and conveniently close to various attractions.

A lovely hotel with character, in a great location to explore Georgetown.

We had a lovely spacious, comfortable room with beautiful timber floors and high volted ceilings. The location was great. It's close to cafes, bars and restaurants, temples and atreet art. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

The bed was a bit too firm for me. There was a venue not far from the hotel that played live loud music most nights during our stay. Management said they would address the council about it. Thankfully its a no smoking hotel but every time you walk down into the reception area there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke that hits you. Obviously they smoke in the office behind the counter.

Nice

Nice hotel close to many restaurants. Big spacious room.

Hotel is looking a bit tired. Could do with some decorating. Rug in room could do with a clean. Although the restaurant had facilities they didn't offer any drinks, that would have been nice especially at the pool.

Wonderful boutique hotel in Georgetown.

We loved the peaceful vibe and the beautiful building. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. They welcomed our children and grandchildren who visited frequently and were happy for them to swim in the lovely pool and hang out with us in our room. We think Muntri Grove is awesome, and we will definitely stay again.

Nice little getaway in the centre of Penang.

Convenient, good location, colonial style building.

Loud music from bar next door. Light sleepers beware.

Immaculate rooms in a heritage building. Great introduction on Penang’s terrace houses from the 19th century

The new bar that opened next door plays loud music until 2-3am, even on weekdays. Though we were warned upon check in, we proceeded anyway thinking that maybe the noise and music would be bearable. We were dead wrong. The music will end at 3am and promptly at 6:30am, there will be the mosque prayer call. We swiftly checked out to another hotel. Tho not Muntri Grove’s fault, this is a major flaw in the location and affected our stay and experience there. They did tell us that they’ve made several complaints and lodged a police report but nothing much has been done. I hope they can sort it out soon. A real shame as it’s really a wonderful place to stay

Comfortable bad, great interior design, good isolation from mosquitos. Small but pretty pool and the service was very nice a helpful. The room was extremely big

The room was perfectly beautiful as in the picture shown. It was very spacious too. The location were easy access. The staff were so kind and friendly. Really appreciate for the ones that help me fulfilled my request on last minute extra bed. Overall is perfect!

Would’ve be better if the breakfast is included as the room itself makes me wanna stays in all the time. Hehe.

Second time here, first time for our friends, we all loved it. Staff were friendly, rooms were great. absolutely loved how quiet it is. it's so relaxing! getting takeaways nearby and dinner by the pool was nice.

Great location, great rooms, nice pool!

great location, located near the busier streets but not on them so it was quiet. the rooftop pool is a good size and a refreshing break from the hot afternoons. The staff was also accommodating when we chose to add another day to our stay.

Perfect stay. 🤩

Arrived earlier than predicted and was able to check in early. Suraya & team were really helpful. Internet was fast enough for me to do my online classes and presentations as well. The interior decor was beautiful and the toilet and shower being separated was great too! Tv was great as we could use our own Netflix account as well. Will definitely come back!!

one night the shower pressure wasn’t really stable and would suddenly turn hot/cold really fast even without adjusting the temperature. finding for a car park is a bit difficult.

Comfortable big room, quiet and have a good wifi connection. Helpful and friendly staff. Can explore the UNESCO site on foot easily from this area.
