The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were nice and the welcome drinks were appreciated in the evening. Breakfast was plentiful as was tea and coffee. Filtered water was readily available. The pool was very pleasant. The resident peacock was a happy wakeup call, thankfully not an early riser. Walk out the front door and you were right in the middle of the fort with everything easily accessible. The bathroom is spacious and reasonably well equipped. If you needed something just ask. A nice oasis with a great garden in a compact space. This is a small hotel and if you are looking for something small and authentic this is it.
The rooms are a little small and nowhere really to put your luggage although we managed ok. No TV that i can remember but we didn't feel the need for it. The pub showed English premier league and stayed open until 2:30am so we could watch the end of the game.

The property is beautiful. The pool and garden area is well designed and maintained, and so peaceful. I had come from Hiriketiya and wanted somewhere quiet where I could lie by a pool, read my book, but also be walking distance to everything - this ticked every box.
My only criticism was that the shower temperature was a little temperamental and didn’t get that hot. The WiFi also dropped out frequently.

An amazing cool courtyard garden with lots of wildlife. The white painted room was so cool after the heat of the town. It is a very short walk to the ramparts and a nice small beach with great views of the coast.
