We were 2 couples and lived feeling like we were in a home like environment. Only 4 rooms in total on the second night we also had family arrive. No pool or hotel like facilities but you are able to have breakfast at Fort Bazzaar around the corner and use their pool.
Breakfast is one of the best we have had around the world.

Only 4 rooms in this boutique property once owned/used by a Dutch merchant and now managed under the Fort Bazaar hotel. A beautiful historic building with grand reception rooms . Our room was lovely with antique timber furniture. Very comfy bed and modern bathroom with a great shower. We took the free walking tour offered in the morning which was informative, and enjoyed the breakfast served at the Fort Bazaar hotel not far from the premises. Also used the pool there too. Aircon was effective and very much needed.
There is no TV in the room, and no long hanging space in the wardrobe. The wifi/internet was poor. Lighting in the bathroom was dim.

• Warm, attentive service from Prasad – always on hand and helpful
• Access to the lovely pool and restaurant at Fort Bazaar
• Peaceful lounge and reception spaces with a nice design touch
• It’s not a real hotel – just four rooms, and everything else (breakfast, restaurant) is at Fort Bazaar
• Our ground-floor room was disappointing: clean but tired, musty smell like damp wood, and definitely not boutique
• Noisy from 7am – regular beeping and courtyard noise carried straight into the room
• Wi-fi barely worked and no mobile reception inside
• Small courtyard felt scruffy, and the ‘sun terrace’ was a complete afterthought – no views, no usable seating
