It’s the second time I’m choosing to stay here and it was even better than the first time.
Only night there was no pizza :( but the first time, it was great! Will definitely come back when I go back to Lisbon

Clean and comfortable
The kitchen fridge was not cold and very under stocked kitchen we stayed in 4 hostels in Spain and Portugal this kitchen was. Or good

The staff is great, courteous, welcoming and attentive. The location of the facility is PERFECT, and the facility itself has all the amenities required for a hotel/hostel. This place could easily be a 10 with a few corrections.
As stated above, the rating is mostly to send a message about some rather evident flaws.
- The business presents itself as a hotel/hostel hybrid, which would be fine if it fulfilled hotel’s requirements. A single hairdryer in the whole structure, meant to be shared between all guests is unreasonable. Especially when there are suites/double rooms that are essentially hotel rooms rather than hostel rooms. A suite must have its own hairdryer. It’s a minor investment that sorts out the trouble of having to ask for the hairdryer at the reception (and bring it back) every time one showers.
- it may be a hostel, but even hostels have rules. Shouting and laughing in the corridors at 3am should be discouraged. We were woken up by a girl and her group having a chitchat at 3:20am twice. I love the hostel vibes, but this was simply annoying.
- The room’s design is a mess. The tents splitting the room in half make 0 sense and offer very little privacy. Even the bathroom door doesn’t close completely. A person living in the condo on the other side of the road could easily look inside the room and see whoever was inside. We had to tape the tents together to get enough privacy, and even then those tents were incredibly annoying as they occupied too much space. If the “living space” is semicircular, then build the tents accordingly and close to the windows. Undressing shouldn’t be a public matter.
- I strongly recommend checking under the mattress for any extra “guests”. We had a small incident with a specific insect that is usually found outside. I’m sure it had managed to climb through the window, but since the mattress is sitting on a wooden structure, I recommend cleaning inside this structure between every booking.
