Everything was perfect! I have been recommending this place to everyone I meet. I had my own kitchen which was perfect for me as I’m a solo female and Quito is dangerous after the sun went down so it’s nice to make an evening meal and sit on the terrace with the beautiful view!
Paulina and her family were so kind and gave me lots of recommendations (they also looked out for me to make sure I got home safe!) the breakfast was great too and lots of lovely conversations.

The loviest host that makes you feel right at home. Beautiful stay with a great view. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast is also great. And walking distance of the historic center. Neighborhood felt safe aswell.

This is a nice enough old building built around a courtyard, which has splendid views of the historic centre of Quito, including the Virgin of Panecillo and the basilica. My suite was roomy and charming, with very high ceilings and old-fashioned wooden shutters on the windows. There was a working TV, an adequate little kitchenette, and an external bathroom right next to my room. And the shower in it worked too.
I feel like this old place needs a sprucing up. There were a lot of things that could easily be fixed. The light in any bathroom didn't really work. One of the iron poles holding up the bannister on the stairway fell down when I walked by. The wifi network name and password listed in my room were wrong, and when I finally found someone to show me the real network, I was told that it didn't work very well in my room (which was true). As I say, a lot of these things could easily be fixed.
