Great hostel, very social with the family dinners and many daily tours on offer. Staff were fantastic and very accommodating! I changed my reservation to stay at the Cotopaxi Secret Garden halfway through - well worth doing!

Great location with good walking distance to the centre of old town and places to eat. The hostel has an amazing roof top where you spend most time when not out exploring Quito. Even the local come to admire the view and eat at the restaurant, which is always a great sign of a great property.
Lots of activities on offer at the hostel to help you explore the area.
Unfortunately my private room (C10) had a bathroom which had an opening at the top of an adjoining wall to a communal bathroom, so could hear all bathroom noises, plus had an external fan / motor running outside the bathroom opening/window which was annoying cutting in & out during the night. However very comfortable beds and warm.

Great location, beautiful roof, comfortable room, hot showers, and staff were helpful in organizing taxis etc. Everything was wonderful except two complaints (noise and price transparency), but those complaints did meaningfully impact our stay.
This may not be true for all rooms, but the music playing on the roof was loud and disruptive in our room all day until 11pm every night, and closing all windows didn’t help. This made it difficult to sleep in time for early excursions and rest during the day. Also, as of Sept 2026, our booking advertised 50% off food, which was not honored — we were told that the new policy is 30%. The hostel also charged a 5% fee to pay with card. The lack of price transparency and soundproofing leave much to be desired.
