Very close to subway, bus stops, a supermarket is just across the street, and there is a street just up the road full of food places and a market most days. Staff very friendly and helpful and offer luggage storage (for a cost). Bed comfy and no hill/dip in the middle. Air con kept the room cool (I was staying over summer).
I know it's London but the room is tight and bathroom tighter. No kettle which was very annoying (seemed to be a way to charge guests for hot drinks in the lobby, but meant I couldn't grab cheap 'add-hot-water' meals on my stay). Space under the bed not cleaned which I found out when I removed my suitcase from under there. Is on an intersection so noisy. Air con wasn't turned on at the machine itself so if the air con isn't working check that. Elevator does not go to the sixth floor.

Excellent location within walking distance to Waterloo station a bit more difficult to get to from Gatwick but super easy to/from Heathrow using the subway across the road.
Westminster and Big Ben are all walkable from the hotel and there’s a great strip of cafes and eating places in Lower Marsh just around the corner.
Staff were all super friendly and accommodating.
It’s located on a busy corner but the noise didn’t really bother. There’s a hospital around the corner so expect lots of sirens.
The rooms are tiny but they’re cheap, well appointed and we didn’t need to spend a lot of time there. The pub around the corner (the walrus) was a much better place to hang out!
The air con was terrible. The wall panel to control it didn’t work and it just seemed to either be throwing out freezing air. Was freezing the first night. Got the staff to turn it down (which then seemed to mean it didn’t work at all) and woke up in a puddle of sweat. Changed rooms to see if it would make a difference but it was the same.

Location was the highlight mainly. Walking distance to the major city attractions.
This hotel is a budget hotel and our room was underground with no windows. My spouse had to crawl over top of me at night just to get out of the bed. Also no breakfast or ice available. It was also undergoing some renovations. Overall I would pay a little more to have a real hotel room!
