Point A Hotel London Waterloo

Loved the location, staff was friendly and all was clean. Bed was comfy. Did not try breakfast but it looked good from what I saw. Also, there is always somebody at the reception, which is nice, you have an underground entrance across the street and another one 10’ away. Buses are also available after a short walk. And, one Tesco Express nearby, as well as a Sainsbury Local right across the street + one small Pret-a-Manger.

Room I picked as single was super small, there is barely any way to move around. Likewise for the bathroom & also: no proper closet, just some shelves and hanging points. And you basically get into bed & have to move a little to reach the pilow - if you need to get out of bed suddently, during the night, it might be a little inconvenient. Furthermore, there is no desk, so in case you plan to work, you’ll have to make use of the tables on the ground floor (which are very ok). Finally, if you have a room on the last floor (6th) be prepared: the elevator stops at 5 - that’s how the building is, not their fault. None of these were too bad, but just be aware in case you spend more time in the hotel or have a longer than 2-3 nights stay in London.

Location was great, staff were superb.

Lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room. I appreciate the rooms are cosy, but did not like having to go to reception for a morning cup of tea.

The location was very close to bus and tube lines making it very accessible. Checking in and out were both very easy. Building felt safe and secure, and staff were exceptionally friendly.

Room was small and limited in amenities - no kettle, fridge, ironing available.

My husband and I stayed at Point A Hotel London Westminster (Lambeth) during our visit to London. While there were some positives, unfortunately, our overall experience was a little disappointing. The biggest downside was definitely the size of the room. The room was extremely small, to the point where we felt quite claustrophobic. There was barely enough space for the two of us to move around comfortably, particularly with our luggage. The bathroom was also very small, which made getting ready and using the facilities quite inconvenient. We understand that hotel rooms in London can be compact, but this felt particularly cramped and uncomfortable. In terms of location, it was relatively average. While the hotel was close to Big Ben, which was a nice bonus, we didn’t find the location particularly convenient for getting to other attractions and areas of London. We often found ourselves having to travel further than expected. Another downside was the noise from the street, which could be heard from inside the room and made it a little difficult to fully relax. Towels were only replaced every two days, which wasn’t ideal, although the staff were always happy to assist and provide additional towels when requested. We really appreciated their helpfulness.

One of the biggest positives was definitely the staff. Everyone we encountered was lovely, friendly and accommodating, which made a real difference to our experience. Having a television in the room was also a nice convenience. Overall, while we appreciated the wonderful hospitality and proximity to Big Ben, the extremely limited room space, small bathroom, street noise and less-than-ideal location made our stay less comfortable than we had hoped. We would recommend this hotel mainly to travellers looking for a simple place to sleep for a short stay, particularly those travelling light. However, for couples with luggage or anyone wanting a little more space and comfort, we would suggest considering other options.
