Perfect for a short night before an early flight

It’s good value for money if you need one night close to the airport. There’s even a very good seafood restaurant in the vicinity!

The walls are very thin and you can hear everything that is going on next door

Great spot to have a final beach day before flying out of Rome

the neighborhood is very seedy and the property is very small (only six rooms) and old. There were nicer hotels in the area.

If you're trying to stay close to the airport, pick closer to the train station in Rome instead

We picked this hotel because it was close to the airport and we had an early flight. It was all just a wee bit off and we were very spoiled from having stayed at some really great spots during our 12-day trip.

When we got to La Maison Royale, the gate was locked and nobody was answering the phone on the number on the sign. Someone eventually came out after we rang the doorbell and waited like three very tired, very sweaty travelers. We entered and there was no AC on in the house. Our room had a unit, but it was turned off. There is no elevator and at check-in nobody helped us with our bags up the stairs. The beds were lumpy, the bathroom needed some caulking around the shower and the tub could've used a scrub. It wasn't the WORST place I've ever stayed, but we stayed at some great places over the course of our 12 days in Italy and Greece. This place was unfortunately at the bottom of our list.

The hotel is terrible, no peace at night, people can easily check in at 01:00, no soundproofing, every time we woke up from noise, no respect. The hotel is not suitable for long-term stays. Wi-fi is terrible, for breakfast you will have water and a croissant that has been lying around for several days. For 5 days, no one cleaned the room, only when we checked in, we were told that we should clean it ourselves, we should throw out the garbage ourselves, if this was indicated in the description, we would never have chosen this hotel. The only normal beach is a 30-minute walk from the hotel. The only thing is that the staff is friendly. Highly do not recommend my rating 1/10

Exceptional

La Maison Royale is the perfect place to recover from jet lag upon arrival in Fiumicino. Gabriel, the owner, has a vast experience and knowledge and travel, providing the best recommendations off the beaten path. Joy is always welcoming and accommodating for all of our requests. He always has a smile. There are many wonderful options for dining, as the location is seaside. Walk the pier and watch the fisherman busy at their catch and see the incredible sunset then wander in any direction for the freshest seafood!

Nothing to complain of, all is perfetto!

Helpful staff saved the day

An oasis near Rome Fumicino. We had our flight cancelled twice & this hotel was a great tonic to us . Helpful staff & a comfortable clean air conditioned room. There are plenty of nice restaurants around the corner along the harbour.

The advertisement online stays that the hotel offers free shuttle and it doesn’t. That was the only reason why I booked the room. I had to pay taxi.

Our host was very lovely and the hotel was spotless. Felt really comfortable despite sharing a house with other guests.

Was very clean and efficient. Perfect for a one night stay close to the airport.

The area is a bit secluded and quiet so not ideal for sightseeing but great for location close to the airport and for rest.

Staff was pretty friendly. I had a problem with a flight and they were super helpful. I was pretty angry and not on my best days and they still super lovely and friendly and it did make the whole difference

Great last evening and night before leaving Italy.

Excellent location -5-10 min to the airport, ideal place to spend a night before an early flight, charming town, super fish restaurant. Beautiful house, great host.

Helpful staff brought my luggage up -no elevator- arranged for shuttle to airport who carried my luggage down. really personable and nice.

cold water for shower- no elevator - BUT he took my luggage up and explained keys and coffee. Stuff left out - not a real breakfast.
