The breakfast was excellent satisfying all needsMagic.

Silly little things. No shower cap, no hand shower in bath, poor lighting in bathroom to put on make up.

We spent 16 days travelling through Scotland and stayed at several wonderful hotels, but Mingary Castle was in a league of its own. Without question, it was the absolute highlight of our trip.
The setting is simply spectacular. If you love nature, peace, solitude and dramatic coastal scenery, it is hard to imagine a better location. The castle itself is beautifully restored and combines history, luxury and warmth in a way that feels genuine rather than staged.
What truly made our stay exceptional was the hospitality. Eva was incredibly welcoming, friendly and accommodating, especially towards our children. From the moment we arrived, we felt more like guests in a home than customers in a hotel.
The food deserves special mention. We enjoyed both the 7-course and 10-course tasting menus and they were outstanding. The quality, creativity and execution were easily on par with many one Michelin star restaurants we have visited. Every meal felt like an occasion.
Breakfast was equally remarkable. Quite simply one of the best hotel breakfasts we have ever had.
Our suite on the top floor, overlooking the castle walls and the sea beyond, was completely unique. The views were breathtaking and waking up there each morning was a privilege.
Our children were equally enchanted. They loved exploring the castle grounds and were particularly fond of the two small goats that seemed to spend most of their days roaming around outside.
It is very rare that I struggle to find a single point for improvement, but this was one of those occasions. The stay was genuinely faultless from beginning to end.
We left wishing we had booked longer and are already looking for an excuse to return.

Beautiful property, gorgeous surroundings, the food was excellent, the rooms perfect, the service outstanding, such a lovely place.
