When building a 3rd floor above a property rental how can you charge 250 stg a night to stay there. It should be empty

We have just stayed at this apartment from August17-19. It is well appointed.

It has workmen all over the roof and at our windows and scaffolding everywhere. I’m absolutely disgusted to not be able to open windows cursing drilling at 7am. Last night there was chaos with the drunks on the street. The management firm has not got back to us and i am very angry. 3 calls and several messages.

Lovely location, clean apartment, but basic

Big apartment with lots of space.

Definitely felt like no one was around except us. Hallway fire alarm went off one day for hours, but was eventually fixed.

Modern and very clean apartment. Great location. Well equipped.

Very noisy, hardly any sleep due to street noise and building work next door. Rain came through one of the three holes in the ceiling. Told to put mop bucket on the dining table. Agent was quick when telephoned to notify. TV in bad position. Could only get a few channels due to poor reception. Remote control was useless. Bathroom door difficult to close and very noisy.

Ok for a shopping weekend or small group in Brighton for club or “On the Beach” weekender. Not suited for young family o

•Location was excellent for accessibility into town. •Building security is great. •Bed was comfortable

•Front door doesn’t open fully making access difficult with cases. •Cleanliness of floors and carpets was disappointing. Burn mark in rear bedroom carpet and heavy foot traffic staining. •Dirty finger marks on doors •Rear bedroom door didn’t close properly •Large shower head mouldy, unable to secure small shower head to wall, shower screen doesn’t contact bath and lets water underneath onto floor. •Burn marks in bathroom window cill. •Bed throws were filthy. •Noise from street throughout the night was a shame but can’t be helped

We would consider staying here again!

Very spacious, full kitchen, clean Property manager was very accessible / communicative Location was within walking distance to everyplace we wanted to go….

Noise from the street at night , in the bedroom with the one full bed , was a bit loud….even with the windows closed. There was a parking garage close to the property but rates are high.

Perfect….. had everything you could possibly need.

Fantastic location, very spacious and clean with comfortable furnishings. It had everything you could possibly need. Fantastic security.

It is on a busy noisy street so not the most peaceful nights sleep but that was expected. I brought earplugs and that did just the trick.

Good facilities, close to food shop and restaurant

It was difficult to appear display of key lock. When we put finger to turn on display number, not possible. It is needed to turn on to put hand on the display.

Great location but too noisy at night.

Communication with host was great. They sorted out any issues quickly. Lots of space and nicely furnished. Lovely fluffy towels and nice welcome refreshments. Location was great, right in the high street.

We expected it to be a bit noisy, but it was so loud with traffic and people all through the night that we didn’t sleep well (our children slept better at the rear of the property). The windows were not double glazed and were quite stiff to open and close. When we arrived we didn’t have any forks or enough plates for the five of us. Also we couldn’t wash up as there was no plug or bowl. The host brought these things round later that day which was good.

Apartment not what we expected, photos very misleading, booked the deluxe apartment but didn’t get it .windows in lounge/ kitchen and front bedroom were not sealed could hear people taking outside.no dishwasher, no breakfast bar , door missing off washing machine , socket hanging off front bedroom wall.

Wonderful apartment for location to shops, beach, pier and public transport and very comfy.

Location was great for wondering around the town and accessing public transport., and its just minutes away from the beach and iconic Brighton Pier. The apartment was clean and kitchen well equipped for the breakfast use that we needed. Good size dining table for use as eating or work desk and a very comfy couch.

Towel rails would be nice rather than us setting up the airing rack in the hallway but there is plenty of room for the airing rack.

No Hot Water, No central heating. Doors wouldn’t shut properly

the property was spacious and in a good location for us to be able to explore brighton in several different areas.

We were informed upon arrival that there was no hot water or central heating due to a part missing off of the boiler and that it would be fixed that evening. went to have a shower the next day and the hot water was still not working. After speaking to the host it came to the conclusion that it would not be arriving throughout our stay. so for 6 of us we had 3 small electric heaters to keep us all warm in very cold temperatures. The hosts communication was poor and told me not to leave a review due to it being ‘damaging’ to their reputation. The bathroom door was very stiff and would not shut properly unless physically pushed against, light switch was loose, kitchen door and hallway door would not shut. Windows were very old so all the noise and commotion outside you could hear. Including deliveries to the shop below. All in all, I would not recommend this apartment due to lack of contact, providing basic needs, no professionalism, and minimal effort to make things right.

The location was great & convenient

It is very outdated with a lot of things being fault such as the glass cupboard getting stuck every time and the sink not working properly. Considering the hosts made a point before we arrived that noise should be kept to a minimum which is fine as we did but the flat above were nothing but noisy both nights we stayed resulting in the whole group being unable to sleep. After raising concerns to the host initially they did not even reply until I had to chase them in which they made minimal effort to rectify as the noise continued on the second night. Considering we tidied up after ourselves and washed all dishes used etc we were expected to put out own rubbish out into bins on the street…..we put our rubbish into the flat bin but did not take it out because why should we when we have ti pay a £105 cleaning fee?! This flat was a real let down and the customer service was poor so will not be returning & would not recommend to anyone looking to actually enjoy themselves.

Superb

I booked this apartment for my son and family and they thoroughly enjoyed their stay. The apartment was comfortable and had everything they needed. The location was superb for them - so central to favourite shops and eating places. A short walk led to the beach and the more quirky parts of Brighton. I know they would choose the same apartment again.
