Great location, only a short walk to town with the river opposite with nice walks into town.
Lovely breakfast, cereal and full English.
Room 3 had lovely views of the mountain and river with good amenities.
Very friendly and helpful hosts.
The bed was not comfortable at all. Memory foam which felt saggy and felt like you were falling out of bed if you slept too near the edge.
Too little storage space.

Great location, a well presented room with great double aspect views and lovely breakfast from the options available. The very hospitable, friendly staff with a great knowledge of the area positively added to the experience of our stay.

Paul was a fantastic host, very friendly and welcoming. He even took our wet smelly shoes off us when we arrived, to get them dry for our day 4 on the Cumbria Way! The room was very cosy and clean. Nice warm shower. Even though the bathroom was shared, it wasn't an issue. Breakfast was lovely, the coffee was the best so far. Paul recommended a sandwich shop which we got delicious tikka rolls from, enjoyed by a nice stream on the Cumbria Way. Wonderful hospitality, thank you.
The bedroom doors are quite heavy and noisy but I can understand as they are fire doors.

Paul and Carol were exceptional hosts. Very helpful, knowledgeable and always offering to assist with providing recommendations for walking routes, dining options etc.
Wonderful breakfast with good quality ingredients.
Some may not like separate bathroom. Not an issue for us and we were told when booking this was the case. Given bathroom shared, potential risk of cleanliness issues through use by other guests but room always kept very clean
