Beautiful heritage house property in the core zone of Georgetown. Staff are exceptionally helpful. It is clear from stepping inside that this guesthouse has something special. Not a company run hotel. Run by a passionate owner what actually cares. Garden oasis in lobby with Chinese decoration. We had the twin room with windows. Spacious with 2 beds and a sofa.
Call to prayer starts at 5:00 am. We had the Carnarvon room with windows. Some street noise. My daughter didn’t sleep that well during to the noise outside. Ear plugs are provided. Consider the rooms without windows at the back of the property if you want ro reduce the noise.

We loved everything about our stay in Carnarvon House. We immediately felt at home, everything was clean and the host was very helpful at all times. You can also ask her about the buildings history, which is really interesting. We loved that they offered free tea and apples and that they had local games in the lobby. We would recommend this place to anyone visiting Georgetown!

Great common areas. Very atmospheric
The close proximity to the local mosque and the call to prayers at 5 am. Now we know why they offered us earplugs on our arrival.

1. Friendly & helpful staff.
2. Good location, easy to get around by walking.
3. Quiet environment, can sleep well.
4. Good shower.
5. Coffee & tea is available whole day long.
1. Expected to stay in a peranakan deco. house but I got a room in the extended unit next to the original house.
2. The room is spacious but quite warm in the day time, air-cond. not so effective even with fan on. And it takes a long time to cool down the room at nite.
3. Not enough hanging area for clothes.
