Perfect place to spend a few days in Rome-

The location was perfect! The building beautiful and charmingly old (and… to our surprise, had an elevator)!

Loved the apartment. Would stay here again.

Very spacious, even with the sofa bed extended. air conditioned with lift access. 5-10 min walk to a metro station. So close to grocery store and restaurants. Great communication with our host Stefano.

A bathroom issue during our stay. No fault of the host, who responded promptly.

Fabulous location. Couldn’t have been better. Gorgeous house the apartment is in, just stunning. Very spacious apartment and beautiful, needs a bit of renovation from a lot of usage over the years but it was clean, very comfortable and had everything one needs (2 cupboards, lots of hangers, shelves, coat stand, ironing board, iron, hair dryer…). Great communication with the host Stefano. We got such amazing recommendations from him regarding restaurants, cafes, gelateria etc and he was very helpful & professional. Late check out happened to be available during our stay which was very fortunate for us. The apartment is on the 5th floor and there’s even an elevator even though it’s an old building. You can hear the elevator in the apartment but it didn’t bother me (for those who are concerned about it: it wasn’t noticeable with ear plugs according to my friend). Otherwise there’s pretty much no noise (sirens are normal sounds in a huge city and don’t count in my opinion) that would bother you while staying here since it’s located in the historic centre with limited car access and on a quiet pedestrian street (no bars on this street). Since it’s the top floor it gets hot faster but there’s even air conditioning in the bedroom and thanks to all the windows you get a fantastic cross breeze to cool down the place in the morning& evening. There’s no safe which is common though since it’s not a hotel. I can’t stress enough how fantastic it was to stay in such a pretty place that is so central yet so quiet. We felt so at home and didn’t want to leave!!

Charming 2 level apartment with rooftop view in the heart of Rome

Il Palazzetto di Via della Frezza is a two level apartment in the heart of Rome, right of the Via del Corso. It's fast becoming one of my favorite streets for central location but oh so quiet - you'd never know you were right off the Corso. The building sits behind the Bulgari Hotel, steps to the Ara Pacis and the Tiber river. The main floor is the kitche, living space with sofa bed and upstairs is the bedroom loft with bathroom. The apartment is on the 5th floor and has rooftop views around, with an elevator in the building.

Cleaning could have been better. We noticed the ceilings and corners were not dusted and also the vase near the kitchen and other spots. Kitchen and bathroom are a bit small. The bathroom is bit small and also old. It could use a renovation. For people with mobility issues, you will need to consider the stairs.
