Getting in the property was great. It is also very spacious and people therefore don't feel like they are on top of each other. The ktichen is very well equipped and the master bedroom and bathroom are fabulous.
I really cannot stand the militant approach to hosting and this place certainly adopts that. It is very rare in Europe to be told in strong terms that if you don't take trash out you will be fined / if you don't check out precisely on time you will be fined / if you don't put the bin out on the correct day you will be fined / etc. Hosting involves cleaning after guests have stayed and may involve putting rubbish out as would be the case in a hotel. I understand that if you throw rubbish on the floor or damage something then that is unacceptable, but hosts like this one now seem to want to ensure that you do all of the cleaning that they would (inc putting towel on to wash - otherwise a fine!). It leaves you departing the property nervous about what they are going to shout at you for, for having not done / done wrong. I would suggest to the hosts saying something along the lines of "When you leave the property please make sure all windows are closed and doors are secured as well as all lights and ovens being turned off, other than that, so long as you have treated our house with respect and put rubbish in the bin not damaged any fixtures/fittings, we will take care of the rest" might be a better approach. (They also demand you refill the gas in the BBQ - the next step is presumably asking you to put money in a slot for using the microwave!)
