The June Motel, Prince Edward County

What an amazing experience. The staff are fantastic and everything is thought out to ensure a memorable stay. The coffee and tea in the Lobby Bar plus the smores by the fire in the evening made our stay so much fun.

We made a last minute roadtrip to Sandbanks and our room was one of the only ones available in the whole area for the weekend. We splurged for 2 nights away and we had an amazing time. Really beautiful motel with a great ambience. I was impressed by the decor in the rooms and the lobby, and the outside is just as stunning. They obviously spent a lot on fine materials when renovating this place, from the tiles in the bathroom to the lighting to the big wool rug in the bedroom.. and the bed was super comfy with great pillows. Our room was spacious with a separate little bedroom/office area. There was even a noise machine for people who don't like to sleep in silence. The balcony had lots of furniture for sitting and a view of the lake. The fire pit is going morning til late, which adds to the vacation vibe. Love that they serve coffee and tea in the lobby each morning, with croissants for guests too. They also have a great little gift shop with thoughtful items for sale and being able to get a glass of wine when we missed the liquor store was sweet too. We appreciated the beautiful smoking area for cannabis in the 'bohemian forest' behind the motel - with fairy lights and comfortable chairs. The location was great, we've stayed in Picton before and this was super close to town while having a country vibe and a starry night sky, just perfect. We didn't get to use the bikes but if we'd stayed longer we would have for sure. I didn't know about the (included) yoga class on Saturday mornings or I would have brought some yoga clothes with me - this place really goes above and beyond with their offerings! The staff were friendly too! All in all we had a really lovely getaway, thank you!

The breakfast scone didn’t seem fresh, We arrived late and received the welcoming wine and sat down at the fire to drink them and they closed down the music and fire early when we were enjoying.
