Clean, quiet room. Friendly but not intrusive owner/manager. Quaint and perfect for a stop-over.
No cooked breakfast option. Could put nicer coffee in the rooms (maybe the fresh coffee bags?)

I was walking the beautiful Two Castles Trail from Launceston to Okehampton. The Blue Lion lies at the halfway point and is really the only accommodation option. It turned out to be a highlight of the walk! The owners and regulars are friendly and welcoming, the food excellent, and the room modern, clean, spacious and comfortable. I hope to visit again soon.

Small authentic Devon pub with period features and a very warm welcome from the Landlord Charlie and his ‘regulars’ in the bar. The Restaurant and bar were busy and even though we arrived a bit late, Charlie offered to sort food for us but we had already eaten.
Our room and ensuite a good size and beds very comfortable. Had a great sleep there.
Nothing.
Charlie explained they no longer do cooked breakfast but a continental one is offered for a small cost. We didn’t partake this time as had an early start.
