The money you are paying to stay at this hotel is the view from the window (at least make sure that it is on the lake!). It is truly beautiful. Also beds and pillows are very comfortable. I had a really good sleep.
The staff is not always friendly (even thought there were exceptions), the breakfast is so poor in terms of choice and quality (at least they should get a good coffee machine), spa is small and the water is cold (except jacuzzi), overall building design dates back to the Soviet era (except rooms), the restaurant is overpriced compared to other Latvian restaurants. I guess this place is overly expensive because locals find it special as there is not much choice in the area where they can stay and go to "spa" but for the tourists from other countries the stay is definitely not worth the money. All members of my family were disappointed.
