Un vrai petit régal

La chambre spacieuse avec coin détente mini salon. La baignoire avec suffisamment d'eau chaude pour en profiter. Les fenêtre qui isolent bien du bruit. Le petit balcon... tout était idéal. Merci

Rundreise durch die Schweiz

Die Lage nähe Bahnhof, Innenstadt und Vierwaldstättersee ist klasse. Vor dem Hotel Restaurant kann man wunderbar draußen essen und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis wie überall in Luzern. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig, so gut wie kein Verpackungsmüll und eine sagenhafte frische Brotauswahl. Das Personal ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit bei Fragen.

Zum Frühstück trinken wir gerne die eine oder andere Tasse Kaffee. Leider gibt es keine Kännchen und wir mussten jedesmal aktiv nachfragen. Die Bedienung morgens schaute immer weg und wir versuchten durch hingehen in Kontakt zu kommen. Dabei fühlten wir uns immer wie Bittsteller und das bei 4 Übernachtungen. Sehr, sehr schade.

En primer lugar, el lugar donde se encuentra. El trato del personal. En recepción eran muy amables y siempre comentándonos actividades, lugares que visitar y opciones más económicas para el transporte.

Ein äußerst entspannter und angenehmer Aufenthalt. Wir werden gerne wiederkommen.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral und ist gut zu erreichen. Die Zimmer sind außergewöhnlich, haben uns aber sehr gefallen. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Frühstück war vielfältig und von sehr guter Qualität. Hervorheben möchte ich noch das freundliche und kompetente Personal, das alle Wünsche erfüllte. Wir haben auch 2an einem Abend im Restaurant gegessen und können dies nur empfehlen.

Da gibt es nichts.

Great location and wonderful room. Friendly staff.

The location was wonderful: close to the old town but tucked away near a quiet plaza. The valet service was nice and the parking charge (SF28). The room was clean and spacious and well appointed. The breakfasts were spectacular but -- like most of the breakfasts in most European hotels -- very expensive (SF21/person). I would definitely recommend this hotel AND would grab a coffee and pastry at any one of the many patisseries nearby.

The only surprise was the cost of the attached restaurant. My wife and I had traditional and simple Swiss dishes -- no appetizers or desserts -- and two glasses of wine. The bill was SF170 (USD$185). While Switzerland is more expensive that many countries, this seemed excessive. (Why didn't we eat elsewhere? We didn't know the prices when we accepted the hotel's offer to book a reservation for the day we arrived.) I'm not complaining as I readily paid the price AND the food was delicious, I'm simply giving others a heads up.

Lovely traditional hotel right in the heart of the city over looking the lake.

We loved the very traditional vibe of the hotel and its central location. Beds weren't the best and the rooms a little outdated.

We didn't like the mobile AC unit but were grateful for it!

Not worth the money - disappointing

Location, breakfast, shop opposite for glass Christmas tree decorations, morning reception staff pleasant, bed comfy, view from room, lots of windows, shower, external appearance, room request eg old part of building - upheld, post cards provided

Arrived late and tired - receptionist was helpful but short in tone - not welcoming. Room was boiling because no instructions were provided for portable air conditioning and it wasn’t vented so gave out more hot air than cold. ( opening windows instead was better) Everywhere closed for eating as after 9.15 but we could have had a drink outside from bar according to room info ( open til 11.30pm) this wasn’t suggested so we went elsewhere. Decor in room not to my taste - modern fixtures and fittings did not complement the old character of the architecture. Compared to our hotels in France, Italy and Luxembourg this was sadly our least favourite but most expensive and most expensive parking

So cozy room, big bathroom, nice view to the city - three windows. So clean. The restaurant is right in the house - was storm in the evening, we were happy to have chance to have good dinner!

Paper thin walls, if your neighbours are inconsiderate you will not be able to sleep. There are posters in every room mentioning to not make noise or take showers after 10pm but people will not care. My first night was very bad, lots of water noises until 1am, people talking loudly and even snoring noises. Rest of my nights were quiet. Bed was not that comfy

Highly recommended!

The location is excellent, 2 mins walking to the lake and the old town, 10mins to the train station. The breakfast is a nice experience with wide variety of choices. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

But the elevator seems not practical for lager suitcases, you have to climb up half a flight of stairs to get to the elevator.

This hotel will bump you at the last minute!!

I made this booking well in advance, about 6 months before our arrival date. I also received confirmations from the hotel 2 days prior to our arrival saying that we were confirmed. But when we arrived, with luggage in tow, we were told that we had been bumped to their sister hotel "Hotel Hofgarten" because they were busy, and that we now had to walk over to the other hotel. So we had to walk over, again luggage in tow to this other hotel, where having booked a double room, we were given their tiniest room on the corner of a busy street, with one worn-out towel. What I don't understand is that the hotel had no problem charging my card and sending me emails asking me if I wanted to reservations for dinner during our stay, but they could not be bothered to send me an email to advise me that the room had been changed. But above all, who does that?! What is the point of making reservations so well in advance when you are not guaranteed what was advertised and had been paid for? Very disappointed!

Superb

Modern room, plenty of space. They provide you with great amenities including a fridge and kettle. location is great - a little bit away from the hustle and bustle of the main part of old town which makes it quieter. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. I arrived early and they stored my bags and provided me with a guest card. On my return my bags were already in my room. Great place to stay.

Probably best for leisure stays.

Great staff, efficient on-site restaurant, excellent location. Ten minute walk from the Luzern train station. Recommended for leisure trips. Pretty garden out back, visible from restaurant/breakfast area. Get why rooms may be noisy (one side of the hotel is adjacent to a busy road), though had one right above the entrance / alley towards the church, which slept fine.

Rating is four stars but the experience is more like a (good) three-star hotel. No working desk in basic rooms; not great for business trips. Basic rooms do not match any of the pictures visible on booking. In particular, the bathroom was a lot more basic than the pictures showed. Front desk not available 24h.
