An amazing stay, amazing location with amazing staff

We liked everything on our stay at Karl's, being the best place that we have stayed in Switzerland. The location is perfect, just in front of the castle and river, the space is large and cozy. We were satisfied with the buffet next morning and the price was fair. The staff was incredible, always prompt to help and really efficient: An e.g. was telling us about a forgotten item straight away and the respective action. We were really pleased with our stay there and will be there again if we visit Switzerland 🇨🇭 in the future.

Delightful !

Absolutely wonderful location along the river, with a short walk to the main shopping and sightseeing. The breakfast is fabulous, with a variety of options. Fresh and delicious! Friendly staff and parking for 25CHF

Karl Hotel a great experience and worderful stay!

Room was very nice, spacious, comfortable and spotless, we also had a very nice river view, the room was for 3 people with a proper 3rd bed (no sofa bed), safe box, fridge and nespresso cofee machine! Breakfast was also very good with a great mix and selection of Hot and cold food and drinks. Location was perfect and within walking distance to all the historical parts of the city, train station and bus stops, they also sent a link to download a visitor card which gives you free use of local public transport and discounts! Luzern is Beautiful with lots of history, culture and very well kept city.

In general Switzerland is a very expensive country but with very high standards of living.

Nice staff, breakfast provided perfectly, several choices. We stay at 5th floor. Lift at door step.

But the management and staff office located at 5th floor too. There is a management school at the floor too. Wil be alittle noise.. stepping sounds. But still acceptable. The rest are great.

Modern room with character overlooking the river

The room offers modern furnishings but still has character, amenities available for tea/coffee, bed is very confortable. The large bathroom is equipped with a huge shower and equipped with everything you need. Despite being located on the first floor and directly overlooking the main road and the riverfront, the room is quiet and no noises can be heard . I enclose a picture taken from the room window. Parking is a very convenient plus. Breakfast is plentiful, with a rich choice of sweet and savory options. The staff is extremely kind and very professional, they speak several languages fluently and are supportive for any need. The historic center is within walking distance, nearby there are restaurants and shops. If I returned to Lucerne, I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Beautiful location.20 mins decent walk from train statn. Restaurants & bars within walking distance

Our room had a balcony which overlooked the river and view of chapel bridge and Gutsch. We left our doors open at night (there was a fly screen) it was lovely hearing the river water and feeling the air. The selection for breakfast was decent and adequate. Thr staff were very friendly. The

There was only 1 room key supplied which could be a problem at times if you decided to visit different places separately therefore returned to the room separately. We found this an issue for us. The bathroom was a little on the small size. Leaving the door open to the bathroom was not favourable. It could get steamy with only a small window opening. We visited in a rather warm Sept. The fan provided was not adequate for the dimension of the room. Hence why we left the doors open to the balcony. The fly screens saved the day, otherwise we would have been roasting..

The service provided was excellent and we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

Location was excellent right on the river with beautiful views in a quiet location. A little distance from the train station but not that bad. The room was nice with balcony overlooking the river. The bathroom had a walk-in shower which was great. Breakfast served was good and the staff was very friendly. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful and made the guests feel very welcomed! They were always there to assist.

If you step outside the hotel, there were little bugs flying all over the place.

breakfast was really good,very satisfying, location is ptetty nice, but air in the room was unfresh, recent painting smells bad in the corridor, feel quirte hot to sleep in the room and many insects came into the room at night when the window is open

We enjoyed the city from this location. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Very well located in the old town and on the riverfront. Room was very clean and spacious. The included breakfast was very good. Staff was very friendly.

Not much parking available nearby. We were lucky that one space became open at the property. It cost $20 per day.

Superb location. The suite was quite good.

1.Whilst almost all hotels provide a complimentary bottle of water, there was no water provided in the room. The staff would insist to have the drinking water from bathroom and not the kitchen . For personal reasons, I and my family cannot consume the bathroom's water. This meant that I had to rush out of the hotel to buy water. 2. There was an additional city council charges added whilst at the time of check out. The hotel should clearly mention the need at the time of booking.

Amazing location on the river, edge of old town

Fantastic staff. Very helpful and considerate. Helped us by storing luggage past our check out time. Gave us assistance in locating the hotel in our next stop. Wonderful bteakfast.

It is a way from the main bus stop if you are carrying your own luggage. Take bus 12, 2 or 8 to the second covered bridge (near the ramparts entrance) and you will be just fine.
