Very good location- 5 min walking distance from the center of the city . Despite of absence of air conditioning and incredibly hot weather two ventilators were waiting in room .

Steps away from everything.

Steps away from the Luzern bahnhof and a variety of restaurants in the vicinity. Minutes away from the Old Town and sights and numerous other attractions the city has to offer. Staff was friendly and was prompt in providing another fan when the one in our room stopped working. Facility was clean and appears in the process of being updated floor by floor. For American visitors who are not familiar with "old time" elevators, the lift IS SMALL and it does not open automatically - pull the door handle and then turn to your right and push the door when you reach your floor or you'll think you're stuck. Was a great place to stay.

They are in the process soon as I have been told of installing A/C units in the rooms. While I cannot fault the hotel or staff for the hot weather we experienced, our only way of cooling relief was to run both fans and keep the balcony door open as well as the window. Overall it was not a terrible experience to be without an A/C, but if you have to have an A/C just note that this property has not installed them yet. The hospitality for this property however was great.

Expensive Breakfast, Good Location, single room very small could be bigger not one English movie or

Break fast was 30F if we didn’t reserve it in advance and expensive, besides we had to go to Monopol Hotel. Location of Hotel Alpina is very good.

TV with atleast one movie channel in English Besides News channel.

Excellent location, friendly staff, but quite noisy

The location is excellent, in the heart of the city by the train station. The wifi worked perfectly. Good shower and hairdryer.

I stayed in a single room, which was very noisy, I could hear the TV in other people's rooms and also other guests talking and coming in and out of their room. It didn't help that the head of the bed was right next to the door to the room. The earplugs that were provided were necessary! With hindsight, spending a little more on a double room would have been better. Also the whole hotel, including my room, smelled of burnt cheese throughout my entire 3-day stay, which must have been from the restaurant below.

Personnel at desk next door that handled the transaction.

Noise abatement terrible. Couple in adjoining room argued for over an hour starting at 4:30am. (The earplugs furnished in the room are to abate this???) Shower floor very slippery when wet.
