Room was a good size with four poster bed which was good and the bed was comfy, There were plenty of drawers in the room. What we had for breakfast was very good and the staff member was very polite and welcoming.
The pillows were a bit hard and flat. The towels were threadbare and thin. In our opinion, the towel for showering should have been a bath sheet. There was a lot of black mould at the bottom of the shower n the outside which was not very appealing. There was a lot of condensation in the morning on all windows. We tried to open the windows but they just rolled back down to a closed position.
No hanging space or rail and no hooks on back of door for outdoor coats. Even if there had been a couple of hooks on the two slim doors (that do not open) either side of the en suite door, and a few hangers on the hooks, that would have been sufficient.
We felt a few more items for the full breakfast would have been good, ie potato scone and black pudding. Also, most of the other items available on the menu related to eggs, and I don't like eggs.

Location and it had free on site parking
It looks very run down
Carpets are clearly very old
Rooms smell musty and very cold bed is so hard we both have back ache and are tired due to lack of sleep.
There is none on site to welcome you or deal with any issue although a number is given once in the room.
You cannot eat or drink anything in the room other than the biscuits and tea coffee supplied or you will be charged a cleaning fee made very clear in the not so welcome book.
Very dark cold and sad hard to see where you are going on staircase apart from two lamps on hstair case posts.
Breakfast was basic one lad on his own to cook clean and serve he was doing good job with poor quality products we didn’t have breakfast second morning.
One water bottle between the two of us we stayed two nights.
Shower needs some work broken seals and mould visible.
Tv does not work goes fuzzy.
Not value for money
Has potential to be so much better.
