Great location, friendly staff

Location. Breakfast buffet, Anna, Katerina. Reception staff, especially Myrto, was very helpful and always friendly.

The amenities of the room were very poor. For example, they did not provide us with sleepers and the excuse was 'Green policy and environmental concerns'. Also no room service available

rien sauf un peu l’emplacement et les personnels à l’accueil

prix très élevé pour les prestations. cabine douche WC du niveau d’un hôtel très bas de gamme. insupportable d’entendre les voisins de chambre se doucher ou aller aux toilettes. chambres faites certaines fois de façon très rapide sans doute.

Would never ever stay here again!! Not even for free ! No sleep for two nights!

Location was great just around the corner from the royal mile, able to walk to restaurants for dinner and to see the sights.

The advertisement for this hotel failed to mention it is above a nightclub that plays music till 4am!!! The music is that loud the bedroom shakes from the bass! After complaining to reception it was an issue they were aware of but couldn’t move us higher in the building as there were no rooms available as they had already moved other guests complaining!! Whilst trying to complain we had to shout as the reception staff could not hear us over the music! They offered no apology and no help. In the process of formally complaining to Accor the owners of ibis hotels. If it was advertised as a party hotel fine but it is not and it’s not cheap to stay !

Good, would stay again but take a portable charger due to lack of plugs

Very nice staff, lovely facilities and good location for getting around

My only issues was that there were no charging ports next to the bed which was inconvenient and the bathroom sink took a while to empty

Det låg väldigt centralt i Old Town. En Matbutik i närheten.

Väldigt litet rum. Stor prishöjning i och med nyårshelgen. Skilde 10000 kr om vi bokat en månad senare. Frukosten var inte inkluderad och inte värd de 330kr/2 personer som vi fick betala.

Overpriced for standard of facilities

Beds narrow and too small. Windows locked so couldn't get fresh air into room. Pillows brilliant.... perfect. More like a hostel than a hotel....

Lovely location in a beautiful city

Room was a good size. Close to the Royal Mile 2.min walk..Nice bar and restaurant..

Dissapointed that for the price (during the Fringe Festival) you don't get a breakfast included.

Staff were helpful

The room was very cold even when I turned the heating fan up to high. No spare blanket in the room. Dust on the desk and shelf. Paint was peeling from the ceiling and the bathroom tap made a weird noise when water was running. The hand soap wouldn’t open so I had to use the soap in the shower

One good night out of two ain't bad and loved the city of Edinburgh

The location was excellent. We could walk to the Royal Mile. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was very clean. Bed was comfortable and slept great the first night. Tea making facilities in the room was great.

Room was very small. Didn't sleep a wink on second night with rave music thumping until early hours of the morning. Breakfast room very cramped.

Mice running around Highly not recommended

At first when entering it looked clean and presentable

On our first night just after 8pm there was 8 mice running around on the landing on floor 6 my husband went down to reception and I rung down as at first there was 2 mice , I was asked was I sure I wanted them to come up and try and move them .the male evening reception came up caught one in a plastic bag and then tried to catch the others , this was not good as they were out side our door and the others in the landing . This had a knock on affect we didn’t eat any meals in the hotel as if mice on the 6th floor then there must be more, we also didn’t have the house keeping team in to clean the room as we didn’t want the risk of mice coming into our room , we felt it was better to leave and come phone than to stay as there was no offer of compensation or new room different room

Another time I would prefer a room in a different location to avoid the above.

The central location, the good choice available for the buffet breakfast and the very helpful staff.

The thing I disliked most of all was having to walk through the dining room with my luggage in full view of other guests when I arrived and every time I came in or out of the hotel. I also found my room cold and had difficulty in trying to change the thermostat as there were no instructions given.

Clean room and comfortable beds. Welcome drinks greatly appreciated.

No parking on site and convoluted instructions to partner provider and provider services lacking. Ticket validation didn’t work but that’s on the partner provider more than Ibis.

Great location for the festival!

Great location! Especially for the festival. We were 5 mins from most of the venues. Easy to get back to late at night and there’s 24hr reception. Bed comfortable, air con kept us nice and cool, everything clean and there was daily room service. All in all, it was perfect for our purposes.

Access to and from room was weird, involved lots of stairs and corridors, and lifts were out of order. There didn't seem to be a working fan in the bathroom and we only had one towel each and no bath mat, so the floors got slippy

Great location. Nice toiletries. Clean and welcoming, I personally prefer hard flooring so no carpet in the room was a bonus for me!
