Enchanting Spacious Beach House With Hot Tub, Game Room, Tiki Bar & Fishing Dock
About this house rental
Nestled in Mississippi, this charming house for $350 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Our Island House is at the end of a private beach peninsula offering various views of the Gulf of Mexico, river side, lighted fishing dock & surrounding area. Here you won’t deal with traffic or a crowded beach. To the west, after watching the breathtaking coral sunsets over the water you can see the glistening lights of the gulf coast casinos. The front balcony faces the beach with additional views of the Gulf. From our large back balcony you can enjoy the view of our fishing dock, fire pit seating area and surrounding marsh. The kitchen has a double oven, 6 burner gas stove with griddle. We also have a built-in water purification system. The back balcony runs the entire length of the house. On one side of the back balcony is a screened in porch with a large outdoor dining table. The hot tub is at the other end of the balcony just outside of the master bedroom. We have a large master suite with a huge adjoining bathroom including a Jacuzzi tub, oversize glass shower, double sinks and private toilet. The Crews Quarters has 2 sets of “hanging” bunk beds, a futon with a plush comfortable mattress & flat screen tv. The 3rd bedroom facing the beach has a queen size bed. At ground level is our tiki bar “The Man Overboard” and gaming area. Gaming includes a pool table, ping pong, corn hole, darts, croquet, horseshoes and more. There’s free wi-fi and direct tv. The historic town of ocean springs is nearby with many quaint shops, restaurants and art galleries. It was one of the ten finalists in Coastal Living Magazine's 'American's Happiest Seaside Towns 2015'. In 2021 it was named one of the friendliest cities in the Nation! If you decide to hang around the beach during your stay, there’s an endless list of things to do. You can fish from the beach or sit on our dock and throw out a line. We also provide several crab traps and a large pot for boiling your catch! Crabbing from our dock is a 24/7 experience. We provide 2 kayaks & paddles. For some exercise & adventure you can arrange for Amanda at 'Paddles Up' to deliver paddle boards right to the house. Or you can contact Captain Mike (our local favorite) for a boating tour to nearby Horn Island for some exploring, or a fishing excursion. He offers various options. The Island House sits just across the narrow road from our private beach (not directly on the beach) and backs up to the river/marsh side, so you’re not limited to just beach activities. Visitors return to this area year after year. Once you discover the beauty, nature and peace we offer.....we know you'll get hooked too!

The home was absolutely perfect! The kids were never bored with all the games in the game room! The beach is a short walk across the road, the sunsets were beautiful. We had a great time, the host was very helpful, and the home was as advertised!

There is plenty to do without even leaving the property. We fished, caught crabs in the trap, enjoyed the beach across the street, enjoyed the rec room with ping pong, pool, darts, corn hole, and a tiki bar. Hot tub off the master with access from the screened porch. Dauphin Island was a huge hit, as was The Shed - BBQ and Blues. The home is tastefully decorated and very clean - super comfy beds and a wonderful kitchen. Screened in porch overlooking a fire pit and the path to the canal where we caught blue crab and fished. Highly recommend!

My family and I have always stayed in hotels but thought we’d try a beach house this year instead. We were drawn to Christina’s home because of everything it had to offer and I am so happy we booked! The photos don’t do the property justice, it was amazing and made our vacation perfect! The lower patio was the perfect hang out spot, with steps to the canal where we caught crabs and steps away from her beach access where many sandcastles and beach sunset memories were made. We will be back to enjoy this slice of heaven again.

My family and I stayed 3 nights at the Island House in Ocean Springs. The downstairs is awesome for kiddos and the young at heart. The house is beautifully decorated and a fun place to hang out. Christina, the owner was prompt in answering all my questions before and during the trip.

The property was gorgeous, so many fun things to do, that we couldn’t even do them all! Kayaking, crab trapping, fire pit, grill, hot tub! It was also gorgeous and perfect! 10 out of 10 would visit again!

Pictures accurately reflect the property. If you want a beach with lots of people, this is not what you are looking for. We loved having it pretty much to ourselves. Never done crab traps but were very successful in the backyard waterway. Would recommend Yard Guard type product.

Our family of 6 adults thoroughly enjoyed everything this property has to offer including quiet location with private beach, kayaking, games, hot tub, abundant wildlife, beautiful sunsets. We also brought our own bicycles. Plenty of space for everyone. Highly recommend after dark trip to beach to see the ghost crabs.

Wow, what an amazing time we had at the Island House!
Located at the end of a 3 mile long peninsula, the house and property provided a great deal of privacy and seclusion, but surrounded by other homes, you didn't feel alone. Close enough to the city of Ocean Springs and its many amenities, you avoid the crowds but still have easy access to anything you may need. The house is clean and comfortable (some of the most comfy beds we've ever had in a rental home). Well stocked kitchen, hot tub, many games and activities under the house for all ages. We really enjoyed that the home backs to a river (for fishing/kayaking) and then is just a short jaunt across the street to the private beach. We caught lots of crabs in the river (crab pots provided) and fish from the beach (fishing gear not included). It truly is a spectacular location; Peaceful and quiet, surrounded by nature. *For those that may worry - no snakes or gators were seen, just an armadillo and some pesky raccoons. :)
We've rented many vacation homes over the years and our family of 6 all agreed, this was one of the best. Communication with the owner was excellent! She was quick to respond to any questions we had, just a quick text away. We made a ton of great memories together - our only regret is that we didn't book the house for 2 weeks instead of 1! So much to do and explore, would go back in a heartbeat!!

End of the road Margaritaville Hangout…Set up nicely for 2 couples & their kids. Plenty to do downstairs for families in the “tiki area”. Short walk across the street to quietly sit & look at the gulf from the flip-flop garden spot. Then a few more steps to the beach. The town of Ocean Springs has shops & restaurants. A unique bbq place to go is The Shed (not in the town, but close enough). The lights of Biloxi to the west, from the upstairs at night was a cool view too.

We decided very last minute to spend a few days on the coast & this was our first trip to Ocean Springs. This house & neighborhood were exactly what we needed as a family of 4 (daughters 25 & 21) along with our pups. The house is cozy & very well appointed. The walk to the private beach took mere steps. The view out of the back was peaceful and picturesque. We had zero issues for our entire stay and can't wait to return again next year. It would take a week to enjoy all the amenities. The owners have done a fantastic job of making their house a home to cherish.

The Island House was perfect for us during the holiday. First thing noted on arrival was this place has gorgeous sunsets! The beds were super comfortable and cozy. We experienced extreme cold temperatures that it was hard to enjoy the fun stuff downstairs so we may have to come back.

We had a great time! Having access to the private beach (not to mention the rest of the house to ourselves) while still being close to Ocean Springs and Biloxi is way better than being at a crowded hotel/beach with nowhere to get away from the masses.

The property was just what we wanted for a long weekend getaway. The area was quiet and peaceful. The beach was just a short walk away. Our two pups enjoyed every minute of it. The property owner was quick with responses and made the trip a leisure one. We will definitely plan to book this stay again.

After my son's wedding, my children and grandchildren gathered here to spend a few days before going our separate ways. Fun activities all our age groups from beach play and catching crabs for dinner to ping pong and hot tubbing. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking a few family favorites and everyone felt at home. The master bed and the queen bed were super comfortable. The bunks were great for the littles but a little hard for older bodies. ;) We sooo enjoyed our time here and really loved all the great outdoor spaces . Thank you for sharing your home with us!

This place was perfect for us. We had 2 13 year old boys and a 6 year old girl and they were entertained the entire time. They did not want to leave. The property was well kept and the neighborhood was quiet. The host went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I will definitely stay here again.

Our group of 7 ladies who have been friends for over 38 years decided we were going to take a trip to celebrate all of us turning 50 this year, so when we began our search for a house on the beach, we found the Island House. The photos looked great, so we booked it immediately! From the beginning Christina was such a friendly outgoing person and answered any and all questions we had. Finally the time came for us to travel to Ocean Springs to start our "girls trip", and the directions to the house were so easy...Let the FUN begin!! The house is SO BEAUTIFULLY decorated, it feels like someone's home - not just an everyday rental property. You know, those houses that you walk in and say "yeah, this is definitely a rental property"...not with The Island House, The Island House is a warm and inviting destination place that we didn't want to leave. The Island House has a warm, calming feel to it, and has all the amenities you could ask for - outdoor games, a fire pit, a hammock, hot tub, screened in porch, dock, beach access just a few steps away, and that's the outside area...I could go on and on. The Island House is at the end of a beautiful secluded street, yet just minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Ocean Springs and Biloxi. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Ocean Springs, and couldn't be happier with the customer service Christina provided for us during our stay.

We enjoyed having the dock in the back. We caught enough crabs to cook for dinner. The walk across the street to the beach wasn’t a deal breaker. There wasn’t much of an ocean view. There was a gorgeous view of the Biloxi bridge from the dining room table. Our first time staying in ocean springs. We knew the water wouldn’t be blue like it is in destin. But no crowds or traffic.

This is a very fun house. The games, hot tub, and activities are a lot of fun. The beds are so comfy. The furnishings are so cute and you truly feel like you are getting away to a beach location. The flip flop tree is fun. The front porch is a great place to see the ocean and drink coffee. There is a private path to the beach. There is a house right across the street, but you can still see the ocean on both sides of it. The water behind the house is very muddy - or was at this time. It made the crabs a little muddy tasting. I would soak them in fresh water longer than we did. The mosquitoes are rough - bring plenty of spray. I would love to have had a big comfy chair in the family room portion - but we were able to hang out there a bit - we have BIG sons. If you can bring an inflatable or comfortable folding chair - might be a great idea. The hot tub is truly relaxing. The decks are amazing and fun to hang out on. The outdoor shower is a must. We will always love our visit to Ocean Springs. Thank you.

We had an awesome time on vacation. Catherine was great when we thought our dog drank salt water. I was very exhausted when we got there because my sister was in the hospital very sick when I left. I didn’t think that I would be able to relax, but my sister got to go home & we really enjoyed our time there. The house and location was great. I highly recommend!!
