proximity to meatpacking district for restaurants; proximity to central square for hop-on/hop-off buses, grocery stores, apothecary; comfortable room; good shower; firm mattresses. Appreciated your dedication to environmental resources! Also loved nostalgia decorations, eg mopeds, radio, SMEG kettle, quasi-old fashioned telephone!
Would have appreciated better shelving for toiletries & hooks or bars to hang towels to dry in bathroom. Coffee cups without handles are more difficult to hold with hot drinks. Would have liked a small fridge to store cold drinks; would also have appreciated more coffee for mornings. Location of safe on bottom shelf of wardrobe is not convenient for older adults to bend down to access.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel bar was also pleasant, and Alex, the bar manager, was especially helpful and friendly. Breakfast was fine, although fairly average.
The first night there was a lot of noise from the restaurants and bars behind the hotel, and I could not sleep until around 2 a.m. Reception gave me earplugs the following day, which helped.
On our final morning there was no hot water in my room, although my travel companions on the fourth floor had hot water. The bathroom also looked poorly maintained, with dark and worn sealant around the floor and walls, as shown in the photos.
The hotel promotes its environmental profile heavily, but to me it felt more like marketing than something reflected in the overall experience. Considering the room standard and the issues we experienced, I also found the hotel overpriced.
