The room was beautiful, the bed very comfortable, the amenities great. The swimming pool area was really like a dream and you felt like in Bali.
I booked this room as a gift to my husband for his 40th birthday. We arrived in the room at around 23h00 and we see that instead of a card acknowledging our special event, there was a note for another couple's 12th wedding anniversary. If not for the exhaustion, I would have gone down to see if they gave us a wrong room. That was super disappointing. In addition, I was told that they can reserve a breakfast table and put a flag on it (Danish tradition for birthdays apparently), but none of this had been done. Moreover, we were told that we cannot use the pool outside of the checkout, and even if the booking reservation says "unlimited spa access", actually you can use the facilities only before the check out. This was really disappointing, as I booked the hotel with the intention to spend the day at the spa and given we arrived so late, obviously we couldn't have done it in that evening. Usually, even after check out, the hotels having a pool area allow you to use it, especially when they have a separate changing room. Apparently their concern was they had external reservations. I found this really rude, especially when I paid over CHF 500 for the room for one night. It was only after I complained and I explained that they basically fucked up all the way there, from check in to breakfast, that we were allowed to use the facilities after the check out for a few additional extra hours. Just to be clear, the intention was to leave for a late lunch, not to spend the day there until the closure. It was really a disappointing experience. I felt the customer service was really poor for the price paid. I would definitely not reserve again!
