Beautiful hotel, but disappointing service
The hotel itself is very attractive, but service and housekeeping fell short of our expectations for a four-star property.
The air conditioning could not be adjusted, with the fan constantly running at full speed. Particularly unhygienic was finding our used coffee cups standing in water in the bathroom sink after housekeeping, instead of being replaced with clean ones. After complaining, we had to collect replacement cups ourselves from reception and were asked to submit our complaint again by email.
Our nightwear was carelessly thrown onto a chair. A bottle opener was also missing.
Although the bar advertised opening hours until 11 p.m., service was already largely shut down shortly after 8 p.m. on Sunday. Guests arriving later struggled to get drinks.
On a positive note, some reception staff were very friendly, especially the gentleman at check-out.
Conclusion: A beautiful hotel with potential, but considerable room for improvement in cleanliness, organisation and guest service. Overall, unfortunately, only average.
