Sehr sauber, super Lage, nettes Personal - würde wieder hingehen

- Die Lage zum Bahnhof Victoria ist natürlich super, auch die Seightseeing-Busse fahren fast direkt nebenan. - Das Personal war sehr nett und hilfreich und 24 Std jemand da. Das Hotel ist sehr einladend und schick gestaltet. - Zimmer sehr sauber, jeden Tag frische Handtücher und Reinigung der Toilette. Es hatte einen kleinen Kühlschrank, in diesem waren 2 Flaschen Wasser. Der Schrank war sehr geräumig. - Frühstücksauswahl war unerwartet reichhaltig, ungewöhnlich für England, allerdings das Nachfüllen war etwas schleppend. Sie waren aber sehr nett, wenn man nachfragte.

- Die Betten sind für 2 Personen wirklich etwas klein. Allgemein war das Zimmer kleiner als erwartet, aber da man meistens nur zum Schlafen dort ist, war es ok. - Beim Frühstück gab es leider täglich etwas Schwierigkeiten, was das Nachfüllen von vielem angeht. Man musste das Personal immer auf etwas hinweisen oder nachfragen, wann und ob noch etwas kommt. Sie waren auch immer arg nur aufs Abräumen und neu eindecken konzentriert, was evtl. weniger wichtig gewesen wäre. Manche Gäste waren durchaus genervt. - Das Hotel hat zwar eine schicke Bar, diese war aber irgendwie nie besetzt. Vielleicht hätte man auf Nachfrage etwas bekommen - Allgemein evtl. etwas überteuert, auch wenn es 4 Sterne hat.

Location is the best thing about this hotel

Location of the hotel is the best part. Lovely area in general. Walking distance to Buckingham Palace. Victoria Station also very close. Continental breakfast was good and kitchen staff was very nice. Breakfast area as well as foyer are quite lovely.

Long overdue for many upgrades/improvements in the room. Carpet a bit dirty. Broken lamp shade, refrigerator that didn’t work no matter what we tried (wasn’t that important to us but still not ok) . Bathroom window next to shower needs replacing or at least a very good cleaning. Bed is small but comfortable but the pillows are terrible- hard and lumpy. Table in the room was also shaky and felt as if we put too much on it that it would fall apart. As the room faces the inner courtyard it’s quite stuffy. Air conditioning works but too strong to keep on constantly no matter what temperature or intensity is used as it blows directly towards the bed. Windows near bed (which were terribly dirty) can be opened slightly but little air/breeze comes in.

Perfect location

Perfectly located. Small but well appointed and comfortable rooms. Tea making facilities and a fridge were a bonus.

Front desk staff were not informative or particularly helpful. Our bathroom had a defective tap in the sink and a loose shower control. A simple, basic maintenance issue that should have been reported and addressed by cleaning staff.

One of the best places I've stayed in in London

Our stay was short so there was not a lot of time to use all the facilities but our room was bigger than most that I've experience in the UK. Great location, less than 5 minutes from Victoria station.

the hallways were very narrow, there are some stairs that are impractical for big luggage.

Great location for attractions and transport and very quiet for a central London hotel. Rooms were clean, if a little qwerky and bed very comfortable. Staff were very friendly too. Would definitely stay again.

I’d stay here again.

Tophams is beautifully decorated and feels ‘cool’ in more than one sense. It is so close to the buzz of Victoria Station yet so quiet.

The breakfast room was a bit cramped, but, once more, beautifully appointed.

Disappointing

The location was excellent and the small lobby was nice and cozy.

The rooms were very small. We’re used to European hotels, but we found the room to be very small and there were NO drawers, only a small closet so we had to keep most of our clothes inside the luggage.

Perfectly lovely stay in London.

We loved the people who worked there (so nice and helpful), the beds and pillows (so comfortable), the cleanliness, the location (near transportation, pubs, and Buckingham palace), the restaurant and bar, and the quiet street and lovely area (we felt extremely safe).

The rooms are a bit small, but we got along great. Everything was clean, fresh, and the bathrooms were wonderful.

Extremely rude and unfriendly staff, very dirty rooms

The hotel was pretty central to everything, with Victoria Station only a few minutes walk away.

The staff were extremely rude and unfriendly from the get go. We had booked the superior double room, which was advertised as having a dvd player & fireplace. When we arrived, we were given a very basic room with none of the above mentioned. There was also urine all over the toilet seat & the toilet wouldn’t flush. I rang up reception & explained that it wasn’t the room I booked & made them aware about the toilet. Once again, they were really ignorant people. They changed us to a different room, which had a fireplace, but looks can be deceiving. Do not trust the photos that are posted. The room is nothing like it is shown in the pictures. There was stains on the bedsheets and a big black hair in the bed, which didn’t belong to me as my hair is fair. The air conditioning is rubbish, the room was like a sauna, way too hot and uncomfortable to sleep in. I do not know how this hotel is a 4 star hotel, it’s more like a 1 star & I would rate it 0/10. Stay away, would not recommend, not worth the money.

Very good

Perfectly located near Victoria. Has been refurbished recently. All is new and in a perfect condition. The breakfast area is super cool and cosy and the breakfast itself with lots of fresh fruits was extraordinary. I hardly understand some of the bad reviews.

Nice hotel but disappointing room

The hotel was clean and well decorated, and the location is excellent, 5 mins walk from Victoria station. The room was disappointing but the shower was good and the breakfast was also very good value.

The room was disappointing. We were first offered a room on the second floor - it was very small, the bed was pushed up against the wall along one side (so you'd have to clamber over your partner to get the bathroom in the night) and there were steps to get down to the bathroom. We asked for a replacement, and the only one they could offer was a basement room - so very limited light and no view - and it was cold. Although this room was much larger, it was also quite bare - could do with some pictures on the walls. It was however clean and the decoration was good (just looked bare and austere without any pictures)

A great location, but nice decoration isn't enough to make this hotel worth its price.

The location was amazing: just near Victoria station, close to Belgravia — easy access to theatres and transportation! The hotel was also clean, with a modern decoration. The breakfast room was nicely decorated as well.

The smallish rooms weren't very soundproof — we heard the plumbing from the room above us, and people talking in the corridor. We felt effort had been put into the decoration, yet it lacked soul and life. The breakfast could have used some freshly made food (fresh bread or scrambled eggs for instance). The staff seemed too exhausted to genuinely care for customers...
