For our weekend, the location was perfect and we could walk easily to where we needed to go. The room was small but clean and comfortable and the property was nice and quiet. Carla, the proprietor, gave comprehensive and clear instructions beforehand regarding checking in and car parking, which made for a hassle free stay.
No real issues to mention.

Edgcumbe Guest House was booked very late, but it was perfect for my needs. The location was so handy for the seafront, the Hoe and the Barbican. Parking was easy thanks to the prepaid 24 hours 'pay and display' tickets supplied by the owners. I never had to park more than 100m away. The room was small but had almost everything I needed for a short stay to visit local family. It was all very clean and the shower/loo was modern. The owners were very responsive to my messages.
My visit was in one of the UK's hottest heatwaves. It would have been nice to have a small fridge to keep drinks cool. A slightly larger armchair to relax in would have been nice. The faux-leather surface of the headboard was starting to peel - better to have washable fabric. My room was on the ground floor looking onto the street. There was a neat reflective coating on the windows preventing people looking in during the day. However it was a bit disconcerting to read that this became transparent after dark, which meant I had to draw the curtains tight, earlier than I needed to.

The room was warm and cosy, good shower with complimentary shower gel etc. Tea and coffee. Dog friendly. Good WiFi And very comfortable beds. Fantastic location with plenty of on street parking.
I came to visit my daughter who lives in Plymouth. I will be back. Thanks for the lovely room xx
