The Circa 1905 was perfect. Alex was very helpful in recommending places to see and eat. He also made us feel very welcome. Located in Eixample area, close to La Pedrera. Yet if you went the other direction it was in a residential area with lots of nice little cafes. Good breakfast selection. Property has been beautifully restored.

Loved this hotel. My room was spacious for Europe. Loved having a balcony. Fresh fruit at breakfast was delicious. Alex at reception was beyond helpful with my lost luggage situation. After hour checking instructions were excellent and easy.
I thought I had a garden patio but it's actually a balcony that looks down into a restaurant, GALA, below. As it turns out it prompted me to eat there two nights in a row which was wonderful and the noise was not bothersome.

The location is the best thing of this property
When we arrived we have found out they decided to give us a different room to the one that we have booked up saying it was an “upgrade” because I complained they said we could move to the original room the day after and gave us a small bottle of sparkling wine. The other room was worst than the one we were given so we stayed where we were. The hotel is noisy is on a first floor and the walls are very thin. The mattress is old, the pillows, bedsheets and towels are old too. The walls are dirty and everything needs maintenance. This b&b that has a receptionist only until 4pm is definitely overpriced. I would not stayed here again. The staff was friendly, there was nesspreso and location was good but for the price you pay there are plenty of better options.
