Japanese style hotel, surprisingly new facility, room and dinning rooms.
Be aware that breakfast is also Japanese style!

- Friendly service staff who are accommodating and try their best despite the occasional language barrier
- Convenient location. Situated beside Lawson with a few eateries nearby
- Provides free shuttle service to and fro Kawaguchiko station, which is only about 5 min ride away. No reservation required
- Located right beside Lake Kawaguchiko, where you can easily access the Swan Boat attraction
- Red Line sightseeing bus stop a couple of steps away from the hotel entrance, which you will likely rely on to travel to several key attractions such as Oishi Park
- Our room was huge, with a view of Mt Fuji
- Paid for private sauna which was worth the experience. Included the full suite of shampoo, soap, cream, lotion for various purposes (eg facial cleanser, moisturising cream, cream to soothe muscle ache)
- Good breakfast spread, felt authentically Japanese

Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Very relaxing with a private/public onsen and staff arranged a massage easily for us. Bedroom was a beautiful traditional Japanese room overlooking the waterfall within the hotel.
Bed was a bit hard for my back.

The hotel is about an 11-minute walk from the station. The staff were really friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay.
Unfortunately, there were quite a few things that made the stay disappointing.
There was mold visible in several areas around the hotel. The private onsen was also quite different from the photos — it felt much more dated and heavily used than expected.
The room itself was alright, but the sheets, towels, and pajamas all felt heavily worn and used. You could both see and feel the age of them.
The biggest disappointment, however, was the food. We understand that Japanese cuisine can be very different from what we’re used to, and that’s completely fine. The problem was that there was very little explanation about what we were eating or how/when certain dishes were supposed to be eaten.
We booked one private kaiseki dinner, and honestly, we were glad we only booked one. We were seated in a closed room on inexpensive Western-style dining chairs, and unfortunately the overall experience — including the food — wasn’t very enjoyable.
Breakfast also gave the impression that some of the same food from dinner was being reused, which didn’t leave a great impression.
Overall, for the price we paid, I’m not sure the experience was worth it. The friendly staff were definitely a positive, but the hotel’s condition, the food experience, and the worn-out linens and clothing made it difficult to justify the price.
