The check in was a breeze! The very nice sweet lady Monica at the reception desk was the best! We liked our super clean room and the hotel in general! It seems recently renovated with the nice wooden floors in the room and the bright, well-kept carpet elsewhere. The spiral staircase and the wooden details along with the unique decor added to the ambiance of the place. The location is central. And could not be better! Spend some time on the balcony/terrace on the 5th floor which is overlooking the Cathedral and has a sea view. The adjacent library is cute and has many books. The breakfast was fresh, delicious, prepared and served with love and care! It is happening in a small but very inviting breakfast restaurant/cafeteria. It included warm eggs/bacon/sausage along with fruits/cheese/cereal/teas/coffee machine/juices/yogurts. Locked front door added to the sense of security. The 24 hour reception, the amenities in the room and the best ever bath towels added to the impression of you being truly taken care of! This was our 3rd time staying here. We will do it again. And highly recommend to other travellers!

Great location
My husband and I checked in at midnight after our flight. The man on reception said he didn’t have a record of our reservation. After about 20 mins he found our reservation. Before we travelled the hotel confirmed we had booked a parking space in the private parking spot. When we asked the man be said there was no parking and we could use the street parking in front of the hotel. After a lot of pushing he eventually gave us a ticket for the private parking. The private parking is a 20 min walk from the hotel which was not made clear in advance. My husband speaks Portuguese so the issues were not as a result of a language barrier.
