Overall, the hotel has a beautiful design. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, especially on the day of our check-out, when they kindly allowed us to stay in the room longer due to our significantly delayed flight. The beds were also very comfortable.
A few things could be improved. We had to ask for the beds to be changed, and there was nowhere to put personal items in the toilet/ shower area, apart from the toilet lid, which isn’t very practical or hygienic. The family room was lovely, but it felt a little cramped for two adults and two children. Breakfast could also offer a wider selection and include more local island fruits

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Its central location makes it an excellent choice, with easy access to all the important sights, attractions, shops, and a great selection of restaurants.
The staff were attentive, friendly, and always willing to help, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was also very good, with a nice variety of fresh and tasty options to start the day.
Breakfast should have more fresh vegetables.Tomato and cucumber is not not always enough if you want to make some small salad to start your morning:-) This of course does not influence overall excellent stay at the hotel

Nice hotel in the center of Funchal. For the price paid, it would be considered a 5* hotel in the middle of summer, however small things such as replacing towels, bath mats, toilet roll and shower gel were forgotten on a daily basis as we had to call every day for replacements
