We had a great experience at the Salmar. We stayed for 1 week and enjoyed it a lot. The room (junior Suite) was incredible. Very well equipped and with an incredible view. The breakfast is also top notch with great international and local options. The pool is nice with lots of seating/lounging options. The staff is great, very friendly, thoughtful and quick.
Unfortunately in our first room we had a broken AC which didn't cool the room. And there was a strange smell from the AC and or toilet. However the staff reacted brilliantly and immediately set us up with a new room from the same category. We really appreciated the quick response. The hotel has a few small details which need to be ironed out. For example there was a water leak in the staircase which didn't bother us but is just a small detail, that could influence a guests stay.

The room on the 9th floor was beautiful with lots of lovely nautical touches. The layout of the pool and pool bar area is beautiful with very comfortable sun beds. The view was amazing and listening to the sea was great. We have stayed there many times over the years the refirb is stunning. The staff were all to lovely and friendly. Added bonus a bottle of Fizz in the room as returning customers thank you all. We will be back
Wardrope area is small if you were here for two weeks it would be a bit tight.
