We have stayed at Haywards on several occasions before as it is convenient whilst visiting family in the area. The hotel is very comfortable and on this occasion, excellent value for money.
We always enjoy the breakfast and I know they do an excellent Sunday roast too.
Other than the breakfast staff, we didn't see anyone else.........

This is difficult. I stayed there because it was convenient for seeing my daughter in Bath and the price was much more reasonable. It is potentially comfortable, well equipped and clean.
It is not staffed overnight. They have put in place reasonable security measures and there is a clear statement that guests are requested to be quiet after 10 pm. They appear to allow ‘hen’ parties (and presumably stag parties). This means that there is no policing of loud arrivals in the early morning.
The staff on the following morning said that they were not aware that this group were a hen party, but they were dressed as such when I saw them leaving in the evening and any single sex group of that size should have alerted management to this possibility.
